Sonic has always been a childhood favorite of mine. I love the fact that they kept the happy hour slushy deal! The flavors are nostalgic and delicious. I ordered a mixed slushy of blood orange, cherry limeade and peach flavoring. It was sweet and had the right amount or tartness. Can’t wait to try even more flavor combinations.

Came today to get my coworkers and myself some ice cream and and cold snacks because our AC at work went out it’s 12 noon. I was told by manager Maria that the ice cream machine is down we ordered sonic blast large sonic blast they have to clean it so no ice cream I’d have to wait 15 to 20 minutes. OK fine so we ordered slushy which we really didn’t want and then I asked for a half sweet tea half lemonade root 44 and I was told they don’t have any sweet tea so what do you have? It’s always a problem at this sonic I’ve never encountered this anywhere else we eat sonic and frequent sonic all the time management ownership needs to change at this location. It’s horrible absolutely horrible So you going to tell me you didn’t clean the machine when y’all lunchtime to put the ice cream down and it’s 100° outside Makes sense right sonic on Hillcroft yeah gotta do better straight trash

Slow to begin the order, seems like they couldn’t understand English very well so some lady came out to take the order. I began the simple order again and she says press the button and walks off rudely. Huh?

Some other customer was simultaneously complaining pretty loudly about how rude the staff at this location is and I will have to wholeheartedly agree with her! 😂

The simple point of this post is to avoid this location at all costs. I ended up driving off because nobody has time for this type of service in Houston ! They clearly do not like their jobs

Sonic, we’ve got a complicated relationship. Every time I decide to roll up, I brace myself for a broken ordering screen, a long wait despite being one of maybe two cars, and—yep—getting the wrong order. It’s like clockwork.

That said, this last visit wasn’t as bad. I still waited way too long for two slushes and some pickle fries, but at least the screen worked and the order came out right. Progress? Maybe.

Honestly, this location is slightly redeeming my view of the chain, but not enough to keep me coming back anytime soon. Consider this a reluctant “thanks” and a temporary goodbye.
