Another truly excellent dinner at Sorrento. Everything we order to eat was delicious as we expected. You must try the mushroom risotto as a starter; the egg raviolo starter was also wonderful. For entrees, we had sage butter linguine special, the veal ossobucco, and spaghetti with meatballs. And finally for dessert, we had the tiramisu and torta di mele. Again, everything was delicious. The service was also fantastic with Madeleine taking exceptional care of us. Sorrento is definitely our favorite Italian restaurant here in Houston and you deserve to treat yourself by visiting.

Delicious elevated Italian food. Great brunch on Sundays. I've been here four times, and I find it hard to describe how much I enjoy it. The service, the atmosphere, the glassed in greenhouse like dining area, just everything is perfect. If you're looking for a traditional upscale Italian restaurant where everything is just right, this is it.

Easily my favorite dining experience while traveling. The food was flawless, the wine kept flowing, and the service was top-tier. I loved it so much I came back two out of three nights! Eric on piano set the perfect vibe (10/10), and Lissette and Sergio made the experience unforgettable. Tried the sea bass, lasagna, torchetti, short rib, and cacio e pepe across both visits—every single dish on-point. Highly recommend.

I didn't realize when I booked there was a wine dinner event the same name. Slightly impacted the ambiance since announcements were made over the mic probably 30 mins apart. The calarmi was a bit overcooked and my pomegranate cocktail may have been sweeter without the cranberry juice. But my risotto was creamy and my scallops were perfectly cooked.

My family and I have been frequenting Sorrento Ristorante for decades during Abbas Hussein's ownership and management (no longer). It was one of the few remaining amazing owner/operated restaurants in town and has now fallen enough to elicit a review from me. I made a reservation and let them know it was a birthday and they completely blew it off even after getting up from the table and mentioning it a second and third time. A dinner that was meant to have some sort of semblance of celebration; fell VERY flat. As far as food goes: I do not recommend the filet, as the beef tasted watery as if it were thawed and allowed to sit in its "water". On a more positive note: the veal (all veals) ,house made pastas & desserts are incredible! Give it a try & I wish you a more positive experience than my most recent.
