First off let me just say, social media cannot be trusted! This place is inside of a gas station no sitting but across from parking is a wood picnic table out front by a food truck. Drove 45 mins listening to SM. Wings are drumettes and flats(not whole) nice crisp yet no seasoning throughout, inside of chicken also needed to be cooked a while longer, wings were huge(I was fighting with the meat) mac n chz was bland, dirty rice was good, sauces (tried all) mediocre, greens no flavor, and to top it off hair was in food found when was almost done eating(I didn’t return cause I had drove to far away and who wants to go through the whole process of explaining the disappointment). The owner was very welcoming and nice. Will not return wasted money and time.

This is what u call social media hype n marketing at its finest. I had a #1... mediocre at best. I got 5 drumlettes not one flat. N everything was lukewarm. The fries are 🗑 frozen bag fries tossed in some jerk dry rub whoopty doo. Definitely not worth the price.

Hi. There. Well...The name Southern Jerks i think of spicy or flavorful food. My honest opinion. The chicken is definitely seasoned i think on the healthy side..I can taste coconut and cinnamon but definitely no salt. Like you would normally taste in chicken. Its not for me however I let my friend try the food and she loved it!! So it depends on the person.

Southern Jerks is an awesome to go spot. Chicken is tender, breading is the perfect amount, and the seasoning is spot on. If you want that southern homemade feel, this is a must try! Fries are addictive as can be. And I didn't even have any sauce or other sides but I'd imagine they're just as good! Will be back for sure.

I had seen an advertisement for this place on IG, but it's not close. While I was adventuring, I decided to visit and I'm glad I did!
First, the customer service is great. The owners are warm and friendly.
Second, and most important, the food is delicious! The chicken wings were moist and flavorful. Crispy skin and great smell. Additionally, the Mac and cheese was wonderful (think Grandma's at Thanksgiving).
Really grateful I had the opportunity to visit. I'll visit again (when I'm on that side of town)!

Food was made to order. Wasn't long of a wait & nice customer service. I got the 5pc wings with jerk dirty rice. Not only were the wings some of the best I've had but the sauce made it that much btr. Got the golden ranch & jerk chili sauce. 10/10. I will definitely be back

my first time trying. I got a 8 piece with Mac and greens on the side and a kids meal it totaled out to be about $30 something, I wouldn’t say it’s too pricey, if you go to a Popeyes or KFC you gonna be spending about the same or more so might as well support your people!! The chicken was good, seasoned well it was crunchy and soft at the same time y’all lol idk how to explain it but it was perfect, the sauce it came with was a jerk sauce I believe it paired well with the chicken tho, and they gave me sort of honey mustard it was good too, I believe they make their own, it wasn’t mustardy nor was it too sweet, it kinda tasted creamy in a way.. idk but that was good too, the MAC AND THE GREENS WAS FIRE! Customer service was good as well you can tell he’s a peoples person. all and all I will be back. The ONLY thing I would say I don’t like if I had to complain at all is that it’s in a gas station, and that’s only a problem for me bcus I’m a drive thru girl lol my social anxiety is terrible so having to go in and wait on the food was hard for me, maybe as they expand they can add a curbside pick up for the ones like me but other than that 10/10 highly recommend.

I hate when people overhype food. This place is mid at best, and way overpriced! I had a 5 piece (they sell wingettes not breast, whole wings, legs or thighs) with fries and added mac 'n cheese. The chicken has a cool taste, and it was fresh. So I that's a plus. The fries are mid to low level, and the mac 'n cheese is bottom of the barrel. $44 dollars for that is straight up robbery! That should have cost $25 at the most! (And that's pushing it! ) People PLEASE STOP overhyping these food spots. People work too hard for their money. They need to go back to the drawing broad
The flavor of that chicken was sooooooo delicious! That 3 cheese Mac was incredible! I can't wait to go back and try the tenders... and the chicken sandwich... and the burger...mmmmmm
