The chopped sausage sandwich was awesome. Wasn't too crazy about the french fries though but all in all I would visit again to try other menu items

I’ve come here numerous of times and it truly hurts to have to write this review. The fries and baked potato was burnt dry. The Mac and cheese was like non stick slime. Ex. It didn’t stick to the container greesy left no residue of Mac and cheese in container. Brisket dried out. I don’t want this place to turn into a hit or miss, because it will leave us with Pappas barque. I’d rather support a black owned business. I spend at less $60-100 plus every time my and family and I come to eat.

I have eaten here a few times... Brisket is generally good. Sides are really good. I ate turkey sandwich today and I must say... way tooooo salty. Not so salty you couldn't eat it... jus salty enough that makes you never want to order it again. Overall, I love atmosphere, however, way over priced for the quality of food they deliver. For a brisket sandwhich, chips and drink... you will be payin over $20.00. In the end, this is Houston... there are so many better bbq spots here at a cheaper price.

I went here for the first time and was thoroughly satisfied with my meal. I got the one meat plate- ribs, baked beans and macaroni.

If I could rate the food a zero I would!!! Rib tip plate…HORRIBLE. I must of gotten yesterday’s batch warmed up in the oven with sauce! Ordered two plates. This was my last time trying this establishment. Didn’t get a picture of the brisket but it was horrible too. $40+ in the trash with the food! SMH!

This is not a restaurant I would recommend to eat at , I wasted $ 30 on BBQ, which had no smoked flavor and little if any seasoning. Also, I do believe it was warmed up in a microwave . Just my opinion, as for the 1 star on the food, I had to give at least that to post a review.

I ordered the 2-meat plate w/collard greens and Potatoe salad. Here is my take:
1. Potatoe Salad.. Very Good
2. Collard Greens.. Hot but no seasoning
3. Sausage.. Flavorful
4. Ribs.. Burnt. Only one rib had meat on it. They cook ribs with the brine on. Anybody who knows anything about cooking ribs knows that the first thing you do is REMOVE THE BRINE.
Cost: $25.98
Won't be coming back here. Sad...

Friendly staff. Good communication. Let me know what she recommended. The brisket was pretty good. Ribs were OK. I personally didn't like the smoked chicken, but my uncle did. Also, it was the first time I tried banana pudding and will be learning how to make it.

When this place first opened it was stellar. I think the growth had unfortunately hurt them. It got too popular too fast and the quality has suffered as a result.

On the pricey side. Clean inside. Cornbread was good. Food was a little heavy on seasoning. 🧂

Came from Toronto for a cruise and stopped by this spot by chance. Possibly the best bbq I ever had. Felt the love in the food as well from the atmosphere. When I visit Texas again I will be coming back.

Oh my goodness… absolutely delicious! The rib meat quite literally fell off the bone, brisket was moist, and sausage was packed full of Cajun flavor. Potato salad was creamy and tangy. Cajun rice was cooked perfectly and had lots of flavor as well. The banana pudding wasn’t too sweet which I liked, though I do wish there were more wafers! The restaurant has a cute rustic aesthetic and there’s plenty of seating available. I believe the owner was the one who kept checking in on us which was sweet of him. Very happy to have found this absolute gem of a BBQ restaurant. They will see me back once I get my once a month BBQ craving!
