Southwell's Hamburger Grill

Wanted to love it, but this burger is very average. The patties were cooked right and the cheese was very melty. (You’d be surprised how many burgers places can’t get that right) But the actual flavor of the burger is not good. It’s not a frozen flavor, but it also didn’t taste fresh. Apologies for not being able to be more descriptive, but there is something just “off” about the flavor. Service was friendly and the restaurant was clean.

Took my kids there instead of Shake Shack tonight. They loved it. Cheeseburgers, waffle fries, onion rings, vanilla shake and a field salad for me. Delicious. Good quality and good price.

I ordered the bacon cheese burger and waffle fries.
The bacon tasted old and over cooked
The waffle fries were over cooked.
Once I took the bacon off the burger it was great.

I really wanted to love this burger but each time I attempted to take a bite of my burger it fell apart. Whoever constructed my burger used hard outer pieces of iceberg lettuce, the tomatoes were sliced way too thick and the onions were too chunky. I am not a fan of iceberg lettuce but if you’re going to use it please use the softer inner pieces and try chopping it up. Slice the tomatoes thinner and dice the onions smaller. Overall the taste of the burger was good but the veggies ruined my meal.

This is one of my favorite spots to have lunch. The food and service are exceptional. I personally really enjoy getting a Bleu cheese burger with stuffed jalapenos as my side.
