“Delicious!! I took my picky Guatemalan parents here, and they were initially hesitant due to past experiences with inauthentic Guatemalan cuisine in other Houston restaurants. However, this place was amazing and as authentic as you can get without traveling to Guatemala. Every dish was delicious and freshly made. The restaurant is clean with a very cute interior. While the customer service requires a bit of patience, it's 100% worth it. Highly recommend!“

“First of all the food was amazing! We ordered things that we’re on the menu and off. They made everything perfectly. Second, the staff was so nice, Felipe was our waiter and he went above and beyond. Lastly, Arturo came to our table and chatted with us and brought us things to taste, plus my mom wanted a special dessert that she was hoping Arturo would make and he did it just for her. Delicious Samayon!“

“Delicious Food. Amazing Service. It's the Tex-Mex that if your wife knew how to cook, you'd never cheat on her for that hot assistant you recently brought on.
I have been dining with them for years, and when I am on that side of town, I make it a point to tell people about it. Dont get me wrong, I prefer authentic Mexican food, but El Rancho does have flavors that pop. Honestly, I do not know many places that make as good of flour tortillas as they do. I'll get their food time and time again until I die from heart failure from the rich, hearty Fajitas they make.“
“Great smoked wings that are an alternative to they typical fried ones. Ran into their truck at Buffalo Bayou Visitor center and hit the spot after a long good walk. They serve whole wings so don’t be deceived when you only see a few wings for a higher price (think double). Good range of sauces to choose from or ask for a mix (recommend lemon pepper and hot). Also somehow have a good tasting meatless dirty rice worth trying. Looking forward to visiting them again next time.“

“Not many options in walking distance near our hotel so we decided to try Tostada Regia. So glad we did! I had the beef fajitas - just the way I remember them as a child growing up in South Texas. Charro beans were just like my mom made them - so good! My hubby had the Asado de Puerco - said it’s the best he’s had in a very long time. Flan for dessert - YUM!! Definitely worth a visit. Good to know there are several locations in the Houston area.“
