In strictly about the food, there is no fluff. Large menu in the ward close to black owned bars and social settings
How did I forget to review this place? Came here back in 2011, worker was SUPER rude to me and straight up causing an attitude and I was polite the whole. Seriously it was like she was wanting to fight me for no reason. After 40 minutes I got my substandard hamburger.
People only like this because they expect it to be good and wait forever for it so they delude themselves into thinking its something special. It's not. I would regularly rehearse around the corner from here, so they lost some consistent business due to their attitude and wait time. A burger like that takes less than 5 minutes to make and they love stretching it out. No hurry.
The hype reviews for this place are all just hype, nostalgia, and not based on actual quality or experience.
It reminds me of a cafe... But the food is always on point!
The food is good sometimes, it depends on the cook. I hate when the young cooks are there. They throw your food together, but other than that, it’s fine. I like my food to have a certain presentation! The way you present something no matter what it is matters. Ty Ma Moody
Went in for breakfast this morning and noticed their POS system was down. Instead of turning me away, the owner graciously took my order, accepted an alternate form of direct payment, and still managed to prepare everything while juggling a stressful call with tech support. I really appreciated the effort and hospitality! She definitely sprinkled some “I’m not losing a customer today” energy on that plate—because this was hands down the best meal I’ve had from there so far (and I’ve been three times already).
The burger had no seasoning on the meat and left a bad after taste. 🤮, The loaded fries with chicken, the fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil. Sorry definitely not a fan I won't be returning.
Best burgers around. Fries are awesome also.
No seating area, wait time for food is extremely long, customer service is subpar.
Trash service and food as well
A woman who appeared to be the manager or possibly the owner was outside when we arrived. She was loud, rude, and cussing at people, which created an unwelcoming first impression. She even gave us a nasty look as we walked in. When we asked the cashier (who was very friendly) what was going on, he said he wasn’t sure but confirmed with, “yeah, this is hers,” indicating she was either the manager or the owner.
Despite that, we decided to try the spot based on a recommendation from someone we know. The daiquiri was okay… not great. It had a bit of a cheap alcohol aftertaste and a slushy texture that lacked the smoothness you’d expect from a good daiquiri. I was also disappointed by the limited flavor options.
The location is in a busy area, and I wouldn’t recommend going at night. And honestly, cussing people out in front of the business is a bad look, it came off super unprofessional and tacky.

Great food you won't be disappointed
Open at 6am and you can get a burger and fries or wings.
The burgers and pork chop are awesome!!!
Doesn't matter if you are near or far. You must try Sparkle. Sparkle is not a fancy restaurant so don't go expecting glitz and glam. Lol. Sparkle's is your laid back hole in the wall burger joint. They of course keep it clean and the lights low. Just how I like to enjoy a meal. There is places to eat inside or you are more than welcome to get your food to go but good luck on that to go option. One sniff of that container you're going to be upset you didn't stay to eat.
It is counter service. You place your order and then your food is made. So do not go rushing. They make each order once it is placed. Of course you can call ahead and hope it's ready or close to ready when you get there but do not rush perfection.
Now to the food! The food! The food! The burger is really hard to get down. And not because it tastes bad, but because it's a mega all beef never frozen burger patty. Yes you read that correctly. If you're feeling really risky, like my child, order the double meat and see if you can finish it. He got down to two bites and had to call it quits. And that was after forcing more than five bites over his limit. Fries are actually fresh cut Idaho potatoes. I think they are Idaho. Heck I'm not sure. Just order them. Seriously!
They do have daiquiris. I sadly did not get one so can not speak on how good they are but they definitely looked good.
Give Sparkle's a visit. You will not be sorry!
It was dark and pretty gross when we walked in. The guys inside were rude didn't speak, we left before even ordering!
