I use to stop in for the smoked pork fried rice as it was one of my favorite dishes. Through the years either the chef or recipe has changed. Went in today to give it a try and I wasn’t a fan. No smoked flavor and rice was barely fried. Guess it is time to try something new.

After work on Friday, my colleagues and I went to Hunan Bistro for dinner, craving grilled fish. This long-standing Hunan restaurant did not disappoint.
We ordered: - Double Pepper Fish Head: Tender and flavorful, with noodles soaked in a delicious broth. - Spicy Grilled Fish: Well-marinated, served with cabbage, cauliflower, and seaweed. Not too spicy and very tasty. - Stir-Fried Lotus Root Balls and Black Fungus: Crunchy and refreshing, a perfect balance to the spicy dishes. - Mao’s Braised Pork: Tender and savory, with a perfect mix of fatty and lean meat. - Long Pickled Beans with Chicken Gizzards: Tangy and refreshing, a great dish to end the meal.
We were fully satisfied, and the cost was under $30 per person. It was busy, so service was a bit slow, but overall a great experience.

The service is really beyond words. When we came in, we had just sat down and we were still looking at the menu. A waiter came up and rushed us to order. It was a bit like rushing a duck to put the food on the shelf. He was afraid that we wouldn't order. I had to take a look at you first. If there are any dishes on the side, go ahead and order them. There is no service attitude at all and they keep urging me. The shrimp with smooth egg feels like scrambled eggs with shrimp. The meat of the pork belly with pickled cabbage is very rotten. They don’t use pickled cabbage, but pickled mustard. It’s super unpalatable. I don’t recommend everyone to go here. The service attitude is also very bad. We ate a few I left immediately and signed a tip when I checked out. They looked at me strangely, as if they thought I gave very little.

In the past, we just ignored the yin and yang customers, but if we still don’t change now, are we really treating our customers as fools? As soon as we entered the door, we asked if we could sit at a big table. It was noon on a weekday and there were almost no customers. The waiter directly said, "How about a big table for two people?" Can't you just say no? There was very little rice. It took several rounds of meals for the two of us before we were full. The waiter said angrily, "Ah, you are here to eat rice." Why am I not here to eat? I didn't finish the last round and there were still leftovers, so I wanted to take them away. The waiter said, "So you want so much rice to take away?" There was no proactive service at all, and he was very deliberately sarcastic and irritating to the guests. The service in this store is really terrible, from the past to the present!

Been coming to this place for years. The quality of food is there but the service is just getting worse. Called in at 2:50pm to order lunch special. The server told me lunch special ends at 2:45pm but on your menu it says 3pm. Get it right! And the younger lady that’s there always has an attitude.
