First time visiting this location. Greeted by two employees that were busy on their phones before showing us to a table.Multiple waitresses indoors that did not assist. They were awaiting the third waitress that was responsible for our table. At least they had the opportunity to count their tips and scroll on their phones. And sorry, I like going to places where the employees care about their appearance. Guess we’ll never know if the food is good or not because we left after not being greeted at our table for quite some time.To think they automatically add 20% to the gratuity from what I hear. They have nothing to work for. Let them earn their tips.

We waited a hour and half for our food, and when we got our food they gave us cold eggs. We sent it back, and our waitress brought it back about 3-4 minutes later. Once we got it back, the eggs where luke warm. We questioned the integrity and the quality of the food, so we asked the waitress to remove it from our bill.

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at the breakfast bar. We arrived at 1230pm with a reservation. The hostest stated she couldnt find the reservation. So we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table. Once seated our waitress was nice and very personable . She was the best part of the experience. We placed our food order. We waited about 1 and 20 minutes for our food. The food was not hot and was mediocre at best . The potatoes are just frozen diced potatoes . The sausage patty was dry. The savory grits lacked much flavor. The best thing was the biscuits and gravy . I paid for a side of gravy you only get like 1 oz cup for 3 dollars. I had high hopes but was quickly let down. I dont think ill return. They need to make some major improvements with the timing of the food and the food quality.

Friday brunch was not a pleasant experience. Only 1 server and the bar tender.. but only 6 tables and service was still extremely slow. I ordered the breakfast combo with French toast… never got the French toast. Just told them to cancel it because I’d finish eating my food and there was none in sight still. The food was lackluster., nothing special. Grits were watery and super hot. Breakfast potatoes seemed “out of the bag”. My husband ordered wings and grits.. wings were “ok”. His “savory grits” were better than my plain ones - not as watery. Espresso martini was good. Irish coffee was not good - No flavor - watered down. Bacon said maple cured, but tasted like regular bacon. Lots of flies! Husband said there were knats in the bathroom. Plasticware and plastic plates. Don’t plan to return. Nothing worth returning for.

The atmosphere, service and space were nice. The food was average to my liking it was served in meal prep containers which was a little off in the area of presentation. We had shrimp and grits & potatoes. The star of my visit was the purple rain drink it was yummy ?.

This was by far one of the WORST brunch places in the history of brunch. Don’t waste your time! I appears they don’t honor reservation. When I arrived, all of the tables were taken. We finally get a table. I ordered the French toast and 3 chicken wings. After 1.5 hours, my order STILL was NOT ready. After speaking with the manager (I assumed that’s who she was), “oh we are working out of a food truck. Your order is number 4 to make ? . Say what?! Everyone around me were waiting on food. After feeling exhausted after waiting, my party and I leave. We ordered a beverage and needed to pay. The waitress checks us out and says “oh it’s 20 percent gratuity.” HOW?! “Oh because of the service.” The service was terrible! The waitress spilled TWO drinks on our table. And didn’t bother picking it up. Instead she bought us napkins. I would NEVER EVER go to the place again…….

We waited for awhile for our food to come out and when it did it was cold my daughter ordered chicken and French toast and it was cold and nasty. I ordered the jerk shrimp and grits. The grits were water down with no taste and the shrimp was under cooked and not good at all I want to try a new breakfast spot. This place was not it.

We had a horrible experience at Breakfast Bar HTX. We sat and waited over twenty minutes to get our drink order. We then ordered our food and continued to wait for over an hour for our food! We were excited to try a new spot but were sadly let down. I would not recommend at all. Maybe for a couple of drinks at the bar but not for breakfast.

If I could have put zero stars, I would have. Went this past Sunday with a group of friends and the service was absolutely terrible. We had to wait over 30 minutes to get our drinks and after waiting for an hour for our food we cancelled and left. The server was very scattered and appeared very lost. There is no real kitchen here, but rather a food truck. Management was not much help. Stay away from this place!

Short version: I ordered french toast and catfish. I got my french toast at 1:30pm and did not get my catfish until we were checking out at 2:30pm. I asked for a refund on something because of the atrocious wait time for my items (that should have arrived together) and they instead took my food (from my to-go box, after I'd clearly stated I wanted it) and threw it away and told me "we took care of it."Full version: I had the absolute WORST experience here. My party of 4 visited on a Sunday afternoon and chose patio seating. The first red flag was ordering drinks and realizing 1 of the 3 was made differently and another came in a completely different glass. The second red flag was watching the staff bring food (completely uncovered and exposed) from a food truck sectioned off to the side of the building. 2 people in my party ordered right away and 2 people asked for more time. The waitress didn't return for nearly 30 minutes to take the final 2 orders. So, of course, the 2 who ordered first got their food (after a 60 minute wait). The presentation was laughable. 1 person ordered a breakfast sandwich that looked like something they could make at home in 10 minutes and at a much higher quality. It started to rain and the waitress mentioned bringing us an umbrella for the table or finding our party a new seat--neither of which happened. We were left to get rained on and were completely disregarded the entire time. Thankfully, our table neighbors were nice enough to let us sit a bit closer to them to get under the patio covering (that doesn't cover the full patio, mind you, so we were still getting rained on). My french toast arrives (after another 40-60 minute wait) and my friends grits arrive as well. We both had additional food items that were nowhere to be found despite being ordered together as ONE meal. While we're patiently waiting on the other part of our meals, another friend orders a hookah--which takes 30 minutes to arrive. Then, they bring the hookah as it's raining (and we're clearly not in an covered area, so, does that make any logical sense to you???) My friend tells them we're no longer interested because -- hello -- it's raining. Finally, we're beginning to check out (because we don't want to sit around and get rained on) and I STILL don't have the catfish I ordered WITH my french toast. Why they would bring my french toast out an hour before my catfish is unbeknownst to me. As I'm paying my bill at 230pm, my catfish arrives. I ask for them to refund SOMETHING from my ticket seeing as I didn't get to eat my food together (or at all bc I did not touch the french toast) AND my items arrived an hour apart from one another. A random waitress takes my food, although I tell her I WANT MY FOOD, and says she'll have it remade within the next 10 minutes or get me a refund. Now, we're inside, waiting for a resolution and the "manager" Debra, (who has walked past my party multiple times with no acknowledgement of what's going on) finally comes up to me and says, "I took care of it." So, I ask where my food is (because I never told them I didn't want it, I told them I wanted to be accommodated for my two items arriving almost an hour apart when they were ordered together) and she says she THREW IT AWAY. So, not only did I starve for almost 2 and half hours, you also threw my food away instead of COMMUNICATING and simply taking accountability for your slow, trash service. So, at this point, I ask for a receipt showing the food has been removed from my ticket and after another 20 minutes of waiting, she brings a receipt saying she's only charging for gratuity. It's truly the audacity for me. NONE OF YOU DESERVE GRATUITY! I will never be back and will be sure to discourage anyone I know from visiting this place as well. None of my party was satisfied with their meals, the food and food presentation was mediocre (according to my friends who got to eat) and it was overpriced.

My friends and I booked a reservation here in advance. However, upon arrival, we were told there would be a 30-minute wait. It was disappointing that our reservation wasn't honored. Especially when we were on time. After waiting for an hour, still with no table, we decided to leave.

This was the absolute worst dining experience I have had. We waited an hour and 40 minutes before canceling our food and leaving to go somewhere that actually served food.First off they don't even have a kitchen. The food comes out of a trailer. When we arrived, we were told that they were out of literally half the menu. So the only thing they had was catfish and grits. Apparently they must have left to go to Louisiana to get some catfish because an hour and 40 minutes we still hadn't received our food. It took a person in our party 30 minutes to get a coke. The coffee was served without cream or a stirrer and the coffee was full of coffee grounds. Not only did they charge us for the coffee but then added gratuity. At least that person got their drink another person in our party never even received their drink. This place is an absolute disgrace. Do NOT I repeat do NOT waste your time here. I'll be happy to see this place close and hopefully another more competent place open up in it's place as the location and atmosphere could potentially be enjoyable.Stay away from this DUMP and go to a restaurant that has a kitchen and can produce food!!!!
