The service was excellent! The food was good. However, the portions are very small. My wife ordered the mahi. It could not have been bigger that 5 oz. My kids (17 and 20) all wanted steak. But, a simple 8oz filet was $83 vs, a standard $50 at Flemmings or Ruth's Chris. Therefore I decided to share the 22 oz Waugh ribeye with my kids. It was the only economical choice. It was not enough food. On the plus side. The waiter was excellent!

We enjoyed our evening at State of Grace but were a little disappointed. Service was very good. Octopus, tuna crudo and fish were also very good. Bolognese a little greasy. Portions were on the small size and, given the price, disappointing. Restaurant ambience and decor were nice but we found the lighting a little dim.

We had a great brunch at State of Grace. The atmosphere is excellent and everyone loved the food. The cinnamon roll is to die for. We also got steak & eggs as well as the eggs benedict which were very well made. Service was friendly but could have been a bit better.Note- There is a valet and ample self parking in the back.

If you are looking for romantic intimate atmosphere this is a great place to dine . Hailey our server was great at helping us choose wine as well as making us feel like her only guests . I recommend anyone celebrating a special occasion to visit State of Grace . Thank you for making our anniversary dinner a great one ❤️

Second time at this restaurant and it was wonderful. The hush puppies were really good, normally I never order them but the party of 4 decided to share dishes and I was delighted to taste them and I can't wait to go back and order them. The service was outstanding our waitor was funny, efficient and knowledgeable about the food menu and bar cocktails.
Very welcoming hostess staff, service OK, drinks, kind of yummy, oysters, a little, bit all over the map, noise level, a little bit much.  I think this place would do better if they brought back Sunday supper. It was definitely a highlight.

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants in Houston. Perfect for dates, special occasions, and bringing out of town guests. Great oyster selection, service, and bread (seriously good bread!!)!

Wonderful experience with great food and service. We celebrated our wedding anniversary at this restaurant and was perfect for this occasion. Our waitress explained the menu well and we ordered the crab hush puppies for appetizer and had a New Orleans beignet taste and was delicious. I had the redfish on the half shell that was cooked to perfection with flavor. My wife had the scallops and were cooked to satisfaction. Our side was the eggplant that was very tasty. We opted not to get the nice selection of desserts as the meal portions were filling for us. They give you a ginger cake cookie that was a nice finish to the meal and was complimentary when you leave. Valet parking is the only option as it's a small parking lot but was fine. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

This place has the best customer service you could ask for! We went in December before the nutcracker ballet, and the food was AMAZING! They told us great things and were all super sweet from the host, to waitress. Now their cookies before leaving are to die for & we always go in just to buy them, then today we go (my pregnancy craving) and they gave us a few cookies just because! When I tell you- I wanted to cry that was the sweetest thing ever. We will always love this restaurant :)

For starters, The service that was provided by Wes and Mike was 10/10 exceptional. But Wes went above and beyond to ensure we had a World class experience.We had The red fish and the 8oz filet, along with the scallops that were unmatched. Packed with flavor and a true delight… but the star of the show…. dessert! the Texas Pecan ball (I came Back the next day just for this) chefs kiss, sweet savory salty. Everything you could want and more.Thank you to Matt for having us come back and Jorge for setting the tone for a fabulous experience.We enjoyed everything and are sure to be back soon. I highly Recommend anyone stopping in, if you’re looking for exquisite foods and flavors. Request to sit with Wes if you can, we sat with him at the bar 2 days in a row and his service was extraordinary every time.

Our server Dominique was exceptional and attentive. The artichoke salad, asparagus, and fries were great. The scallops were divine. However, my husband's lobster was underwhelming.
