We visited Steak 48 for the first time and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Taylor, our server, was phenomenal from start to finish. Her service was truly impeccable — attentive, warm, and professional. She was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the menu in detail, which made our decisions so much easier. She genuinely made the evening feel special and ensured we had a great time. We would definitely recommend Steak 48, and we’ll absolutely be coming back. An incredibly disappointing ribeye steak. Was somehow lacking of flavor yet salty at the same time. I was using the pepper shaker like a shake weight on that thang - still had no taste. Service was great, however if the food lacks then place slacks

Visited Steak 48 while on a business trip to Houston and it absolutely lived up to the hype! I booked a table for 8 through OpenTable, and everything from start to finish was fantastic. The service was top-notch and incredibly attentive, and the food was even better than expected. Every bite was amazing! Highly recommend—10/10 experience!

We’ve been regulars here for years, dining at least once a week with our family. who is excellent. Until Saturday, February 7th, we’ve never had a bad experience.
From the start, the host was rude and dismissive. She said she was “making an exception” for us, put us on a time limit, restricted us to bar seating, and limited our menu—supposedly due to Valentine’s Day, which was still a week away. We agreed anyway since our kids wanted to eat here and we already knew what we wanted.
While waiting, a manager approached my wife to complain about my 11-year-old daughter holding an empty coffee cup from another shop. I said we’d throw it away. Instead of stopping there, he told us our daughter was dressed “inappropriately.” She was wearing a sweater and black pants. He then said she looked “old enough to drive” and suggested she change clothes before returning.
As he continued talking, he kept staring at my daughter in a way that made me very uncomfortable. I told him no one should be staring at an 11-year-old, and that anyone who feels the need to do so has a serious problem. At that point, we walked out.
On our way out, a group of adult women in extremely revealing outfits were welcomed in with smiles. I pointed out to the manager that when they sit down, their outfits would not be an appropriate view for other diners—yet that clearly wasn’t an issue.
we went to papas steak house after, and we were welcomed with warm smiles and everyone was dressed with class from the host to the waiter to the guest, just old money class.

They ruined my birthday experience! Sent an email AHEAD of time, no response, LONG WAIT. When we did arrive, barely a birthday acknowledgement, with proof (my I.d) that it was my ACTUAL birthDAY. Horrible waiter! We are Always here, very surprised on my last visit, this place is becoming a “maybe” it used to be a guaranteed GOOD TIME. Spent my birthday there last year, VERY different experience. I will never spend another birthday with STEAK 48!

The steak was perfectly cooked — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Side dishes were well-prepared and beautifully presented.The atmosphere is upscale yet comfortable, ideal for date nights or celebrations.
Service was professional, attentive, and polished.Pricey, but absolutely worth it for the quality and overall experience. I’d definitely return.
