We started with the beet salad and deviled eggs with shrimp appetizer and both were delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly rare and delicious and tender. We also had the chilian bass which fell a little flat. As for the sides, the corn brulee was my favorite followed by the sweet potatoes. Overall, a wonderful dinner which was enhanced by our server.

What an excellent experience! We were there to celebrate a birthday and they were very nice about acknowledging it every step of the way. Megan was our server and she did a great job explaining the menu and catering to our needs. All the food was absolutely superb, no comment. From the appetizers to the dessert. One thing I have to mention: they bring the plates where we’re going to eat HOT and you might think “so what?” But it makes a HUGE difference because it keeps your meat warm even after you start slicing it. What a clever idea! We came in early but left late, the vibe of the restaurant completely changes it too, looking way more party like, so if you’re coming with kids, I’d say come early.

Came to celebrate a birthday and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The bone-in ribeye was perfection — juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. The whipped praline sweet potato was dangerously delicious (dessert in disguise), and while the asparagus fries were a bit basic, they did the job. Paired everything with a smooth Cabernet Sauvignon, which rounded out the meal beautifully. Fantastic service and a great atmosphere made the night feel truly special. Can’t wait to come back!
First time eating at the bar, but still had an amazing experience. While I likely won't sit at the bar for such an event, I'll of course book a normal table to enjoy everything once more!

I made this reservation on behalf of my mom and step dad so they could celebrate my moms bday / wedding anniversary. I have boasted about steak 48 for years ! It is my favorite place in Houston and my mom has never been . I was so excited to hear their thoughts on the place . Sadly their experience was not as great as mine . My mom considered it “sub par” . She stated the steaks were not cooked correctly . And in fear of sending the steaks back they just kept them as they were . They didnt care for the sides and considered them “just okay” . Lastly my mom stated their table seemed like it was randomly placed in the middle of a dining area and they felt awkward and uncomfortable for the duration of their dinner . This review doesnt change my opinion on steak 48 because i have always had amazing experiences, but saddened to hear from my mom that this isnt a place she would visit again .
