Food is great. Quick and friendly service. Great bar and a spacious restaurant.
Food is fantastic and can’t say enough about the service! Every time we eat here we ask for Fernanda! She is so sweet and so attentive, she always makes our evening a memorable one.
Service is super fast, the guys are great, the queso flameado was delicious and the fajitas are served with butter. Soo soo good.
The inability to communicate with someone over the phone is absurd. They do not return phone calls. They do not apparently care about people trying to do business with them.
We came here 3 years ago and didn't have the best experience. Took a chance and came here for dinner last night. What a difference!
We were greeted within a minute of walking through the door & had water, chips, and salsa just a minute after being seated.
We ordered strawberry margs and beef faijitas (medium). Strawberry margs were very good. Lots of strawberry flavor and big strawberry garnish! Fajitas were a huge serving considering it “serves 1-2”. Comes with all the fixings, tender, and piping hot.
Our server was amazing! She was always smiling and checked on us multiple times.
All-in-all we had a great experience and the food was solid! Recommend checking it out.
I ate mole enchiladas. Wife had street tacos. Corn (elote) appetizer. Best chips and salsa in Houston. Great place to be. Very reasonable prices. Not Tex Mex. Not Mexican. Sort of a Mexican epicurean or fusion type of place. A little more Mex than Tex Mex...if you like all kinds of food (a Food Channel kind of person), you will love it. This is not your taco truck stuff. More like Mexico City or Wealthy Yucatan vibe...
Another in a long line of great experiences . The service, food and atmosphere was delightful. Thank you.
One of the worst service experiences ever. I ordered soup as an appetizer and it came with the entree so I sent it back. Was charged for it and didn't realize until after we paid. The manager took 10 minutes to try to remove the charge and I finally gave up and left out of frustration. Service was terribly slow and it wasn't a busy night. Food was good but not good enough to make up for the lousy experience.
The fajita beef enchiladas were absolutely amazing! Service also top notch and great drinks.
Cool place with good food and good service

Great Service! Great Food! Miguel, the manager always assures all the guests are happy, 5 star!
Can't say enough great things about Studewood Cantine. One of the best Mexican spots in Houston, and dare I say better than El Tiempo in my opinion. You can expect the food to be fresh and of the best quality, esp. when it comes to their beef fajitas. The chef and restaurant establishment as a whole know how to serve both quality food and stellar customer service. Every time I dine or pick up, the wait staff and servers are consistently friendly, helpful and personable. Easily 5/5 stars.
Look no further for your Mexican fix, you'll be sure to get more than what you pay for, esp. when it comes to choices in the Heights area!
If you don’t like it, I love it! ;)

Service was excellent, food was fantastic, and drinks were even better. I recommend the Cantine Black Barrel Margarita and the Pollo con Marisco - which was a large portion. Even had a great convo with the owner on review responses and customer service. We will definitely be back!

Always the best time here! Consistent, quality service and food. We usually get the queso, cheese enchiladas add fajita steak, street tacos, and coronarita.. we always ask for Fernanda, she’s the best! Great bar if sports are on, outdoor seating, secured parking.

Mexican food snob here…I was amazed at how good the food was! The chips were hot and fresh, salsa was nice and warm, beef fajita’s and carne asada were amazing (some of the best beef of any Houston Mexican restaurant including Pappasito’s, El Tiempo and Lupe’s)! Grilled shrimp
Fajitas were super fresh and not served overcooked. Margaritas were great. Even had live music (great guitar player and singer). Definitely going back.
