Another in a long line of great experiences . The service, food and atmosphere was delightful. Thank you.
One of the worst service experiences ever. I ordered soup as an appetizer and it came with the entree so I sent it back. Was charged for it and didn't realize until after we paid. The manager took 10 minutes to try to remove the charge and I finally gave up and left out of frustration. Service was terribly slow and it wasn't a busy night. Food was good but not good enough to make up for the lousy experience.
The fajita beef enchiladas were absolutely amazing! Service also top notch and great drinks.
Cool place with good food and good service

Great Service! Great Food! Miguel, the manager always assures all the guests are happy, 5 star!
Can't say enough great things about Studewood Cantine. One of the best Mexican spots in Houston, and dare I say better than El Tiempo in my opinion. You can expect the food to be fresh and of the best quality, esp. when it comes to their beef fajitas. The chef and restaurant establishment as a whole know how to serve both quality food and stellar customer service. Every time I dine or pick up, the wait staff and servers are consistently friendly, helpful and personable. Easily 5/5 stars.
Look no further for your Mexican fix, you'll be sure to get more than what you pay for, esp. when it comes to choices in the Heights area!
If you don’t like it, I love it! ;)

Service was excellent, food was fantastic, and drinks were even better. I recommend the Cantine Black Barrel Margarita and the Pollo con Marisco - which was a large portion. Even had a great convo with the owner on review responses and customer service. We will definitely be back!

Always the best time here! Consistent, quality service and food. We usually get the queso, cheese enchiladas add fajita steak, street tacos, and coronarita.. we always ask for Fernanda, she’s the best! Great bar if sports are on, outdoor seating, secured parking.
Parking: Plenty of parking in a secured lot, street parking, and more in the neighborhood

Mexican food snob here…I was amazed at how good the food was! The chips were hot and fresh, salsa was nice and warm, beef fajita’s and carne asada were amazing (some of the best beef of any Houston Mexican restaurant including Pappasito’s, El Tiempo and Lupe’s)! Grilled shrimp
Fajitas were super fresh and not served overcooked. Margaritas were great. Even had live music (great guitar player and singer). Definitely going back.

The food was tasty. Service was great, at first. It did take a while to get the appetizers to the table. Main courses came out soon after. They forgot a few little items. Trying to find help once the main courses arrived was frustrating. We needed to ask several times for a forgotten cup of milk, extra plates, etc. We were celebrating a birthday. We all sat waiting for at least 20-30 minutes after eating for our birthday boy to receive his dessert and candle. We are a patient group. This time we had a 1 and 4 year old with us. The extra time it took to end the evening was excessive.

Food was pretty average. Drinks a little less. Ordered 1 pitcher of margarita and the total for just the pitcher was a little over $110. Not to mention it was full of ice too. Go somewhere else if you plan on drinking.

first time there with neighbors...lovely evening and superb service by Sandra! Tried and loved the street tacos!
1) Jasmine and Fernanda are amazing servers that pay very close attention to the customers and their needs. Masters of their craft, please pay them more money!!
2) The food is better than anywhere we have had in ages, and we eat mexican 2 to 3 times a week. This chef pays very close attention.
3) The atmosphere is very relaxing, music is not too loud or too quiet. Comfy chairs, great lighting and the bar area is large an great for meeting new people.
In conclusion it is quite rare to find a place that has all 3 items listed above, as connoiseurs we have searched and searched and never found one until now. What a wonderful facility. 100 / 100 Bravo! Please everyone go eat here so we can keep this place around!
