I knew something had changed! I purchased 4 cupcakes all of which were very dry with half the amount of icing of past cupcakes. I called the store to provide feedback regarding the quality and was told that this location was now a franchise store. I won't be going back. Just horrible. The franchise will not last. Definitely not the same thing.

I heard about this place for so long and was excited to try (Woodvalley location) . Went on a Thursday and when I first walked in the smell too me back (smelled like sewage) . I ordered a lemon meringue pie and when I got to my car and opened it the plastic was so oily and got all over me. I then tried to take a bite and it smelled and tasted like aluminum. I was so disappointed. Think it was my first and last time trying.

I was Celebrating my 48th birthday 12-07-21, and after eating Lunch I chose Sugar Rush..to grab a Birthday sweet. I got the Peach Cobbler Mini Cake, and Coconut Chess Pie. They are both VERY GOOD. Me and the employees had food conversation, and they where very polite.I love the fact that this is a Black ? Owned Establishment. Stay strong..????✊?❤️??

Bought a red velvet mini cake and oatmeal cookies from this terrible place. The cake tasted VERY TERRIBLE! The cake was very dry and the icing was rubbery! The oatmeal & raisin cookie has no oatmeal and just a lot of flour and a hunt if raisins. They are short cutting ingredients to save money.Black owners! You have to do better!!!!!!!I will nver go back to this place!

Best cake I had in Pearland, not just on the outside but on the inside too. So moist and delicious. The owner was very friendly and humble. I’m definitely going back there!

It's time good, not great. 2nd time mediocre. This 3rd hubby took me for sea food and purchased my favorites oat meal raisin cookiesw/nuts and carrot cake cup cake. Dry without taste, never will I eat there again and guides others not to. The service was sub standard also. I hope they get better.

I bought a half pan peach cobbler today for my dad's birthday. He loves Sugar Rush's cobbler. We have purchased numerous cobblers from them but this one tastes and smells like old grease or something was used to make the crust. I would have given a one star but am hoping this is the result of something going awfully wrong. I purchased from the Stella Link location near NRG.

Had been going there for some years now, but I think this is the last straw. Several months back they charged my card 10 times saying it wasn't working. I showed them it had been charged numerous times I had to call my bank to correct it. Went in Saturday to order several cakes, pies, and some banana puddings.I even told a customer how good they were and paid for them a cupcake. Paid almost a 100 to et some old cakesda

I went today 05/21/2021 purchased two mini pecan pies and one sweet potato pie. Got back to work finished my lunch and decided to snack on the sweet potato pie , but it was SOUR it smell like vinegar. I am so disappointed. I called twice no answer. I've always enjoyed grabbing something sweet to go with my fish plate from J&Js , but after today I will no longer be supporting this location. I opened the pecan pie and it had a weird smell as well. So disappointing seeing this is the original location and I've always held them to a higher standard than the other flagship locations.

Cake and cupcake tasted as if it was Pillsbury dough boy box cake and frosting. Bland as if made with water and not milk. Cake taste like they cutting corners up there. Peach cobbler breading super thick and dry just overall disgusting please close. ????

I didn’t know what frosting I wanted on my cake, so they gave us three cupcakes to try and choose from those. Now I have my birthday cake and I haven’t even had it yet because my birthday is tomorrow, but the cake is so GORGEOUS and it just looks like so much care was put into making this cake. They are a bit expensive(compared to say, Walmart,) but they are worth every dime!!It’s a black-owned business and they also have a shelf with flyers and samples from other black-owned businesses, which I really love. It’s just an overall amazing experience from the moment you walk in and they make a wide variety of sweets and desserts and all of them are AMAZING !!In short: beautiful black-owned business that creates gorgeous cakes while also supporting other black-owned businesses!! ❤️
