Great selection of breads and baked sweets. They also have other snacks like chips and cookies but things like soup mixes, jams, peanut butter too. Dave's Killer Bread for $2 is an amazing deal!
Staff is friendly and store is tidy and organized.

This place is a fantastic deal. I did not need bread, but nothing I saw was out of date. I loaded up on plenty of yummy snack food, all for very little money. The people working there were polite and helpful.

I haven't been here since 2014, and this has really changed a lot for the better.

We spent $78 but in the grocery stores it would easily have been double that. All the products had AT LEAST 10 days before being out of date.

Just a few examples of what we saved:

Wonder 24 ounce sandwich bread. At Walmart this is $3.16. Here it is $1.50
Nature's Own Whole Wheat Hamburger buns.
Walmart $3.56 Here $1.00
Wonder 12 pack hot dog buns Walmart$4.42 Here $2.00

And so on and so forth. I've seen reviews that the posters complained they weren't saving any money over the grocery stores. I don't know, unless they were buying something like Dave's Killer Bread, which they were out of stock on today, but I KNOW I saved money.

They also now have canned goods, sardines (but no anchovies darn it!) lots of potato chips, preserves, etc.

So the best thing I can say, is make a trip for yourself and see what YOU save.

A hidden gem within Houston. Bakery outlet sits next to bakery. Staff very friendly, so be prepared to be greeted upon entry. Products are fresh and less expensive than in grocery stores. Breads are sold about 60% less. All kinds of treats including chips, honey buns, cup cakes, etc.
