Good drinks, good people and good music. Located in downtown Houston, I worked about a block away and Sunny's became my hangout. Sunny is both owner and bartender, and is the sweetest woman you'll ever meet. I stayed in Houston for about a year and left in 2019. Sunny's is pretty much the only thing I miss about Houston. I had a very good time there, and met some very nice people. If you're ever in downtown Houston definitely check out Sunny's. Adios Amigos...

Had one night in houston on my honeymoon with my wife and we spent it in Sunnys. One of the most fun bars we found in our trip across the states. Really cheap, really strong drinks, really friendly bartender (I forget his name, but he was a young guy who's Mum owned the place). I got cataclysmically drunk here and it was one of the best nights I had in the USA.

Shay has very very poor self awareness and she shouldn’t be bartending alone especially on a Tuesday. She kicked me out of the bar because men (who are grown and coherent) were buying drink. If you look at the security cameras you can coherently hear her say “I’m not serving you because this is multiple men have bought you drinks” please look at the security I cameras. She needs to be repudiated for how she handles social situations especially being a bartender. The three men that paid for my drinks is honestly nones of her business. Especially when We just order a drink and they show their card after she asked them multiple times. ”are you sure? ” The they said yes we took their card out. SHAY or SHEY kicked me out because “too many guys bought me drink” please watch the cameras and I’ll delete this yelp and google comment. Even the security guard were a confused on why I got kicked out and I told them “im not going to Serve you because too many guys bought me drinks” when my ex was there. She has zero social and self awareness skills and embarrassed me in front of a pay if important people. If I got kicked out for rub drunk that’s u understandable but she kicked me out because men are buying me drinks? Even the security guards were confused on why I got kicked out after I told them what happened. If you need to Fire her and hire a better bartender that will actually make your establishment money then you can let me know. If anyone baddies want to to drink at this bar with heavy moeny the don’t on Tuesday nights or wheneve SHAY/SHEY will make sure you lose money for you’. Talk to to Fernando and Eduardo or look at the cameras. I will be reporting this to the BBB if I see her again.

Kind of a transient/local dive bar. Seems to be an after game spot for Astros nerds. 15 people will walk in, order jello shots and walk out. Goes from empty to packed in seconds. Relaxed querky vibe. Prices lower than the downtown norm. Nothing on tap, all bottles and no food. BYOF is allowed. Cool for what it is.
The beers was very cheap. Didn't try the food.
