I am a frequent restaurant diner, as I probably dine out at least 4 times in a week. This is my first time ever giving a review for a restaurant. Upon my arrival, I was elated to learn that it was Black owned, and I wanted to support it. This restaurant leaves a lot to be desired! The food is TOO SALTY, and overly spicey. The heat of the food from onions and peppers is overwhelming, and thus NO real taste. The food and drinks are overpriced. A sangria at $16.00. A wings (3) dish with potatoes is over $20. And a side of eggs (1) is $3.00. When I shared with my waitress that I was unhappy with the meal (I ate less than a third of my meal), she apologized and did not offer me to select something else, nor did she offer to have the manager come and speak with me. I asked for the bill. She provided it and it was $48.00. I gave my card, and then she returned the signature bill. I noticed that it was almost $20 more than what had been my bill. I was SHOCKED as they bill was $61.57. The addition was a 20% gratuity included, and tax on both the bill and the gratuity!!!! I was livid. Adding the gratuity and then taxing it... Oh no!!!! I requested to speak with the manager. When she arrived, I shared my disappointment with the meal and disbelief that they would include a gratuity charge in the final bill. Without shame the manager said, "oh yes, we charge a gratuity." I refused to pay the bill and told her that I would only pay for the coffee and the sangria - both of which I consumed. An adjusted receipt was returned to me. Then when I got home and received an email notice from my bank, there was a charge for $61.57!!!!! I returned to the establishment and spoke again with the manager and the waitress. The manager stated that the charge was preliminary and that by the end of the evening a corrected charge would be reflected on my account. I just checked my bank; the adjusted amount is not reflected. I shall follow through, as I have all of my receipts. This restaurant is not worth your time!!!!

It’s a cute , small , cozy but yet limited brunch restaurant. The menu is very limited for brunch but more like an early dinner restaurant. The valet is $6 plus tip and “brunch bill” for 6 pp was $238.00 including the 20% gratuity. We had a 2 waffle delight( mini platter) avocado toast, egg-white omelette, and a continental…. plus 3 lattes plus apple juices . Attn: Cafe lovers … latte was too sweet and the expresso was too bitter ! The only plus was the awesome server , she did an awesome job ! Definitely do not recommend this place nor will we be returning!
