Full staff, waited more than 20 min and nobody took our order. Every employee were sitting around chatting with each other and laughing.

A great escapism for my family. Not crowded, great staff and great fresh food

Parking: Parking has gotten more difficult because of increase in patrons. Maybe do takeout order, park in the always empty burger lot next door, grab your food fast when it's ready and sprint back to your car before Houston's finest enthusiastic and no joy tow trucks show up.

Recommended dishes: Seared Tuna Salad, Gyoza, Duck Breast, Scallops

Lyna gives the best service hands down. Super attentive and takes great care to make sure you get exactly what you are looking for. Third time here and I will keep coming back!

I recently ordered from Sushi by the Heights, and I was impressed from the moment I opened the package.
The presentation was beautiful, each roll neatly arranged, with garnishes placed thoughtfully. It looked as good as it tasted!

The attention to detail extended beyond the food. The napkins were high-quality, not flimsy like you sometimes get with delivery, and the chopsticks were sturdy and well-made, making the experience feel a little more special.

As for the sushi itself—absolutely fresh and flavorful. The fish was silky and rich, the rice perfectly seasoned, and every bite was well-balanced. The wasabi and ginger were also fresh, adding just the right amount of kick and brightness.

Overall, a fantastic experience

Taste of most of the food was pretty good. What overshadowed the experience was waiting for a table when we had a reservation & food that came out cold or never came. I understand it was Valentine’s Day, but the staff did not properly manage the number of walk-in guests to accommodate for reservations. Also, the hostess (who was really the waitress running back & forth every 10 min) completely skipped past my party & tended to the people behind us.

We kept reminding the waitress about orders we put in & she would answer too quickly like she was brushing it off. I ordered a lemonade when I first sat down & never got it until an hour later & when I did get it, it was just water with lemon juice. I had never been so shocked, I told the waitress to just take it off & ordered something else.

My friend received extremely cold & acidic lobster ravioli. My other friend never got her entree dish after reminding the waitress twice. The last excuse that the waitress gave was that it was because the order got put in a little later & the kitchen was behind. The waitress brought the tab when my friend reminded her for the last time & it was apparent that the order never got submitted or was given to another table on accident. The waitress’ reply was “so sorry, would you possibly still want it by any chance?” We all just couldn’t believe she was asking that because…OF COURSE that’s why she’s asking about it & she’s hungry. My friend just got it to go so luckily that didn’t take too long. We were there for a total of 2.5 hours.

Kid-friendliness: Not really unless you’re in 1 of the few booths. I saw they do have high chairs for the middle end tables, but it sort of blocks the walkway

Wheelchair accessibility: Not designed to be WA

I had a gift card here so I invited my friend to have lunch with me. Luckily we now have GPS on our phone because if you were just drive on Studewood St. you will miss the sign for the restaurant as it is blocked by trees. The parking is on the side street or a parking lot for the building that is one block away. It was not busy at all during lunch time, there was a lot of to-go order. They do have a very good price lunch menu. and the restaurant is very trendy looking on the inside. The restroom was well stock with mouthwash, toothpick and toothbrush and cologne. The food was good and the price is fair for the location. If I was in the area for sushi, I would come back here again.

Have been here twice and I just can’t give it a full 5 stars because it’s just not there. The soy sauce seemed water down, the steed rice had a very weird taste to it. My miso soup was maybe but that’s a hard one it seems like.
The fish is fresh.
I am not sure if we will come back.
