We had a late lunch here on a weekday and it was amazing. We lived in Japan for many years and were delighted to see their Tatami room with the out in floor for your legs so you can be comfortable while you rate the delicious food. I’ll be going back to try their ramen soon!

Best of the best. Not overdone but classic styling and atmosphere. Fish is always a cut above the average (noticably).

Great place to have a casual meal.
The old Japanese chef used to work at Sasaki on Westheimer.
Having a Japanese person handle my sashimi outside of Japan alone is worth 3.5 stars.

Ordered salmon teriyaki lunch.. come with miso and salad. The food was fulfilling and really tasty for lunch with decent price. I like how the salmon cooked well (with crunchy chicken and the teriyaki sauce was not overly sweet and you can feel the umami taste.. recommended... Lunch not too crowded but the seat almos full.. was told also the sushi here is one of the best in this price range..

I used to go every weekend because this is an authentic Japanese place, but I found the qualty of food has dropped recently so I no longer go there. I hope they improve their food quality. My favorite was bento.
I arrived at around 2:30. Unfortunately, I missed out on the lunch specials. Despite that, I still ordered the 15-piece sashimi combo. It was just about the perfect size. I added a side salad to complete my meal.

Easily top 10 sushi place in all of Houston. Authentic and Delicious.
We were in Katy and happened to come across this restaurant by chance—and what a gem it turned out to be. The staff was incredibly attentive, especially Maria, our server, who was knowledgeable about the menu and made us feel well taken care of. The owners were also present, checking in with guests to ensure everyone was enjoying their meal, which added a personal and welcoming touch.
The food was outstanding. Their rolls were absolutely delectable and satisfying. We were pleasantly surprised by the offering of fresh wasabi and pickled wasabi at a low cost—something you don’t often see. The green tea they serve is authentic, sourced directly from Japan.
One of the highlights was the day’s special: bafun uni (Japanese sea urchin) wild-caught from Hokkaido and overnight-shipped from Japan. It was incredibly fresh and flavorful. We also ordered a kids meal, which came in a generous portion.
Our table enjoyed miso soup, tempura udon, the Canada Roll, Jin Special Roll, Yellowtail Roll, and a few sashimi selections. The sashimi was exceptionally fresh, and they didn’t skimp on the slices either. Every bite was a treat for our palates.
Overall, it was a delightful dining experience—we’ll definitely be back.
The food at this restaurant was delicious and very fresh. The quality of the food was outstanding, exceeding my expectation. The sashimi was out of this world. Our waitress Hee was very friendly and helpful. The owner came out to talk to us and was very amiable. I highly recommend this restaurant.
