I’ve ordered cakes from this bakery multiple times, and they’ve always been 10/10. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was a major letdown. I called a week in advance to place an order for a red velvet cake for a celebration I was hosting. The process seemed smooth—a nice lady took my order, and I assumed everything was set.

On the day of pickup, I called to ask if I could pick it up earlier, and a different staff member told me they’d call back at 10:00 AM. At 11:00 AM, I received a voicemail stating there had been a problem with my payment, and because of that, my order wasn’t processed or made. This was confusing, as I was never asked for payment when I placed the order and assumed I’d pay at pickup.

When I called back to clarify, I was bluntly told that my order hadn’t been processed. There had been no communication throughout the week to inform me of any issues, and now I was left scrambling on the day of my event. To make matters worse, they offered cupcakes at full price as an alternative. After some negotiation, I settled for a slightly discounted 12-pack of cupcakes, but it didn’t make up for the frustration or disappointment.

This experience was a huge letdown, especially given the positive history I’ve had with their cakes. Better communication and accountability would have made all the difference.

They only offer blueberry jelly to customers (gross), and it took 30 minutes for a simple order. Not worth it.

Sign said they’d be open at 9a today, completely closed at 9:45a.

Extremely rude staff. As a resident of city center, I go here often and the staff who work here are consistently rude and have no patience for any customer questions. Sometimes they are so rude, it‘s like they actively don’t want any customers. It is a shame because it’s the only bakery /desert shop in the neighborhood. My hunch is that the management doesn’t care otherwise these girls would have been fired a long time ago.

3 ladies behind the counter, but only 1 actually working. Other 2 standing there talking to each other and I had to almost hop behind the counter to get their attention. I bought a cupcake and bottled apple juice. I asked for a small bag. They set the bag on the counter next to my items, then went back to talking. No one behind me. I had to bag my own stuff. Just a little weird.

The customer service here sucks. The checkout system is inefficient and the woman who checked us out was pretty rude about it. She had an unnecessary amount of attitude. I used to come here all the time and stopped because I had an unpleasant experience. Over a year later and nothing has changed. I won’t be back.

We ordered a chocolate cupcake for $5. My 9 year old didn't eat it because it "was just ok." If I'm going to pay more than the cost of a delicious crave cupcake I at least expect it to be good.

I recently visited Sweet after hearing great things about their delicious pastries and well-run operation. While I was impressed with how efficiently everything seemed to be running—everything from the display to the checkout line was disorganized and inefficient. I couldn't help but feel disappointed by the customer service. Appalled.

The staff (during the operation hours of 2000-2030 on 09NOV2024), while moving quickly, seemed entirely disinterested in engaging with customers. There was no warmth or personal touch to the interaction, and I felt more like a transaction than a valued guest. A simple greeting or even a smile would have made a big difference. It's a shame, because the bakery has a lot of potential, being in the City Centre, in terms of product quality. However, the lack of friendly and inefficient service really detracts from the overall experience.

I hope they consider putting more focus on the customer experience, as the quality of the baked goods is definitely worth a return visit—but not if the service stays the same.

I recently visited Sweet Place and had an extremely disappointing experience due to poor customer service. When I entered, a young lady saw me but didn’t acknowledge my presence. One costumer was in front of me and ordered coffee She went straight to preparing customer’s drink without even a simple "I'll be right with you. I waited over 15 minutes close to cashier/order place without any acknowledgment. Eventually, two new customers walked in, and she immediately took their orders, completely skipping over me. When I pointed out that I had been waiting for 15 minutes, her response was dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of apologizing for ignoring me, she just asked, "What do you want?" with a cold attitude. I asked about her name so I can bring it up to her manager she gave me a look and Said Laura/Lora, not sure if she said the truth.

Her lack of courtesy and professionalism was shocking. Again when I asked for her name and suggested she should at least apologize, she gave me an indifferent look and remained silent. It's baffling how someone with such poor customer service skills was hired. I won’t be returning.

lol some of the reviews here are for sweet Paris.

Anyways the place is actually really good. Macarons are awesome and the cupcakes are always good (at least every time I’ve gotten them). Coffee is alright

Stale, “miniaturized” cupcakes. My car key was almost bigger than the cupcake. On a Friday night, Only had 3 flavors. Workers were not very inviting. I remember this place being much better years ago. I don’t know what happened…..

EXCELLENT! I’m a make it from scratch with quality ingredients person. The products at this shop are made from scratch daily. That’s a BIG DEAL to me. We got the carrot cake, a cookies and cream cupcake, vegan/gluten-free chocolate chip cookies and a frappe made with coconut milk. All was very delicious and it was so hard not to buy more. Other vegan options available too.

The girl behind the counter was awesome. However, none of the bakery items were. I purchased 2 cupcakes (a vanilla and a chocolate) 2 chocolate croissants, a latte, and cake pops but never again. The cupcakes were dry and flavorless, the croissants were hard, the latte was average, and the cake pops were just okay. To be fair, one of my cousins got their macaroons and she loved them, while another cousin got a red velvet cupcake and loved it.
