Great place for macaroons but during my recent visit noticed the macaroons are now half the size but at the same price - not sure that was the best decision on their part but I’ll look elsewhere for macaroons going forward.

was delighted with the service at this Sweet Paris in City Center. The service was top-notch and the food was spectacular! I highly recommend it to everyone

This spot opened up back in 2011 and it doesn't seem the same anymore.. at all. They don't even have regular brownies, just vegan. Their cupcakes look completely different and taste just okay.. super sweet. And the macaroons were just okay as well. A lot smaller than I remember. Sadly, it has really missed it's mark. Nothing special.

Do not shop for coffee or macaroons here the staff were very discrimative and gave a judging demeanor. I only came in for coffee and I'm Latino, but I noticed the white couple were treated far better than me they greeted them and gave them info on the products they had and even smiled at them. When I came to the register I asked if the coffee can be decaf with cold foam and she gave me a disconcerting look like I just asked her an math equation and then her tone changed. I walked out instead because I knew they weren't gonna service me well.

1. Excellent + Cupcakes = Delicious!

2. Definitely Returning + Excellence = Highly Recommended!

3. Well-located in City Center.

Honestly, my experience was not good. I asked a simple question to compare their coffee with Starbucks, and the response was not friendly at all. The tone felt dismissive instead of helpful. I asked a simple question, asking how many shots the cortado had because I usually get a cortaddo from another coffee shop, it would be 3 shots. And then her answer was unprofessional, saying that the store isn’t like other shops in a negative attitude. Also, the place was a bit dirty, and there were two employees present. Unfortunately, both seemed unwelcoming, with unfriendly attitudes and unhappy expressions. I did not feel comfortable or welcomed as a customer. I hope they work on cleanliness and customer service.

So expensive for goods that are hard and stale. Would never come back.

I used to love coming here because everything was so fresh. The prices have increased and the quality has decreased. I came in to get the red velvet balls on two occasions and they were old and very hard. There were young people who did not immediately come from the back to greet me until I kept saying HELLO. Poor customer service. Old products. Short on popular products that should be available. Please get it together.

Ooooh, this place is SO cute! Such a cozy little café here in Houston — warm vibes, great coffee, and just an overall feel-good spot ☕️🤍

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

As a non-local planning a retirement celebration in CityCentre, I was excited to find Sweet just steps away with a gluten free menu to suit the honoree’s restrictions.

I submitted the inquiry form online twice, called over a dozen times, and left a couple messages with no response. So when I arrived in town, I placed an order in person 2 days before the celebration.

30 minutes after my pickup time, I arrived to find my order was incorrect (no gluten free cupcakes). Someone from the back who didn’t introduce themselves came and took half of the order, returning 15 minutes later with a dozen gluten free cupcakes to replace the regular ones. No apology or explanation. When I asked if I could have the regular dozen as well for the inconvenience, she told me yes, she could charge me for them. She claimed I never order GF cupcakes when they were clearly on my receipt.

All in all, the convenience of the location does not make up for the gross unprofessionalism of the staff/management at Sweet.

**Update** there have been NO macarons for about two months, I keep hearing so many excuses! Bring them back, I'm adjusting the rating until they are back.****

Absolutely the best macaroons I have ever tasted, light, airy, melt in your mouth, just to die for. I will be coming back and bringing my mother next time I go wow....just wow!

I visited what used to be my favorite bakery and coffee shop in Houston, located in CityCentre, and I left feeling very disappointed. I spent over $30 on a few cupcakes, a coffee, and a croissant, and unfortunately the quality was not what it used to be. The cupcakes were hard and dry, almost as if they had been sitting out for several days. The prices are also higher now, and the variety they once offered simply wasn’t there — the display looked limited and almost empty.

The one thing I can say is that the barista was very kind and answered all of my questions, and that’s definitely something they should recognize and keep encouraging.

Sadly, it’s no longer the same experience, and I truly hope they take this feedback to improve, especially since they market their products as high-quality. I really loved this place before, and I hope they can bring back what made it special.
