I got the alfajores tradicionales at a festival and am sure they are among the best sweets in all of Houston. The owner taught me about the Peruvian style and was very thoughtful. I look forward to trying more from the menu!!

An absolute gem! Every visit is a treat for the senses. The desserts are fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. I’ve tried several items, and each one has been absolutely delightful. My husband and I purchased a surprise bag through the TooGoodtoGo app to try this place out. The desserts were beautiful. We received a brownie, 2 macaroons, in addition to the one I purchased, and a slice of cake. The desserts were decent in flavor, not too sweet. As I was leaving the shop, I really considered purchasing the alfajores but I felt a bit rushed by the darker lady who told us Thank you, Bye, Bye while I was still inquiring about them so we just went about our way.

You need to try Belen’s empanadas… the best in Houston period. I also loved the alfajores, they melt in your house and the sweetness level is perfect. My friend tried Belen’s delicacies about 5 years ago. She lives in Chicago and she was dreaming to come to Houston to enjoy Belen’s alfajores. I was delighted with this place and with Belen, who is a great host! I will go back no doubt! Do not miss it!

Comfy and small shop, very pink! super nice young lady at the front and accommodating. The desserts were yummy, not too sweet, definitely coming back to try some other things.

My sister decided to give you all visit and treat us for some goodie’s. She knows that it is difficult for me to like sugary treats, but it was worth the shot. I am not a sweets person , but their key lime tart is to die for.
I will return just because I enjoyed it very much. The tres leches Mango cake was ok, but too sweet for my taste . The Mango was giving everything mango should.( natural sweet, good texture, melts in your mouth, awesome smells).

I went with my niece today and had the best time. The place is so charming inside. It's impossible to walk in and have a bad day We tried a bunch of the desserts including the macaroons, tiramisu, key lime pie, and the cookies. Everything was delectable and fresh. Belan was there, and she is so much fun. One can see this bakery is a an extension of her. 10 outta 10.

Me, my mom, and my brother went in to get some things for the first time. We walked in and I was amazed because the shop was so cute! It looks so unique and adorable! We got two cookies, a macaroon, flan, strawberry tres leches and chocolate cake! 20/10 the food is so good! We got to meet the owner and she was so sweet!! She made The experience 100× better definitely coming back soon to try other goodies!!!

I was in Houston for work and decided to end my visit with a treat from Belen’s. I got the chocolate cheesecake, and it was fantastic. The best part of the trip was the conversation with Belen. It made the end of my trip memorable. I wish Belen and her business nothing but success. She deserves it.
