We love Sylvia’s Enchilada Kitchen on Woodway! The food is always delicious (we enjoy the Mexico City, Donna, Refugio, Guadalajara, Crystal City, and Morelia enchiladas), and the staff makes us feel right at home.
We even celebrated my dad’s 100th birthday here in June with 50 guests, and everything - from menu planning with Juan to the beautiful set-up and attentive service - was perfect. I received many compliments and comments about the food and friendly service.
Whether for a celebration or a casual dinner, Juan, Nicholas, and the whole team always make our visits special. Highly recommend!
Really nice place to sample a wide variety of well done Mexican food!

I’ve been coming here for about 4 years, but recently the food has become so bland. I mean completely flavorless. Maybe a new chef. If you add the increase in prices, it’s just not worth it. $18.75 for the Brownsville. The taco meat had no flavor. The cheese enchiladas…zero flavor and the inside cheese wasn’t even melted all the way. I only like cold fresh salsa. I don’t know why our Mexican restaurants have adopted to this, but theirs is probably the best if I have no choice. Their frozen margs are pretty delicious as well. I guess if I want flavor I’ll go to El Patio or Los Tios. They both also have cold salsa. Restaurants should give you a choice.
I went there with a large group and our waitres, a tiny young girl with 2 pig tails, waited on us with a great deal of care. Our fajita dish was delicious. Thank you!

I had high expectations, but the 4 enchiladas I had all tasted the same. The shrimp cocktail was a blob of shrimp and sauce in a saucer, poor presentation.

The food is excellent, the variety of dishes is excellent as well. We did the enchiladas after finding out about this spot on TikTok and it was worth the drive. My wife had the breakfast platter with fajitas and it was delicious as well. Will definitely be going back to try some other dishes I was interested in, service was a bit slow even though they had just opened but it worked out in the end.
