I got a steak Fajita which I was warned might take 15-ish minutes to get, which was fine as I was in no rush. It ended up taking closer to 25, but again that was alright. It was full of drywall, which would be good for most people but cheese is my thing, and it was lacking that and it was pretty dry. Thankfully the sour cream helped with that.

Whats up with the hours of operation not matching the hours you have posted? Don't give me a scripted lame apology. Be a better operator of your restaurant. Hold people accountable.

Store says it closes at midnight but it was closed early. I see other people are having this issue. Will be reporting.
I tried to order door dash from this location but they canceled my order because they were “closed” the restaurant says it closed at midnight?
8 minutes for someone to tell me they would be right with me after staring at me. 10 more minutes of standing there watching them stare at me from the back and I left. I just wanted some tacos, yall suck.

I had a really disappointing experience at Taco Cabana recently. I ordered the street carne asada tacos, and honestly, they were terrible. The meat was dry, chewy, and lacked any real flavor. It didn’t taste fresh at all, and the tortillas fell apart before I could even take a bite. Definitely not worth the price.
To make matters worse, when I tried to bring this up, the manager, Eduarda, was extremely rude. Instead of listening to my concern, she dismissed me with an attitude and made me feel like I was bothering her just for speaking up. That kind of customer service is unacceptable.
Between the poor quality of the food and the manager’s unprofessional behavior, I don’t see myself coming

You know after spending $29.00 for 5 tacos & 1 personal chips & queso. You would think they would put the Hot sauce & Pico de gallo in the bag!!! Or at the very least ask if it’s required!!! Reminds of that movie where Joe Pesci says “ You get screwed in the drive-through”!!!

The manager is very unfriendly, using her coworkers till, she didn't even do my points, she said I can not scan. I didn't get 5 dollar reward. I asked if they were hiring, she said No real rude.

Taco Cabana has been one of my off and on again favorites for casual quick tex-mex, since coming to Houston 12 years ago. But they are the epitome of inconsistency from store to store.
Tonight was the absolute bomb! By far best TC meal I've ever had! Ground beef taco was filled to the brim of the shell with tasty seasoned ground beef (as it should be for those prices), Mango Tanjin fried pie was fluffy Hot, with real fruit, not overly sugary and obviously cooked fresh (SOOOO good!). Even the rice was clearly cooked to perfection, not overcooked or old like normal.
I can't explain why tonight was so outstanding, but to TC management, whatever was done or whomever was cooking tonight (23rd June 25, 930pm) is GOOD for your business! Somebody clearly took pride in what they were preparing! Unfortunately I'm not often in this part of Houston so this is my first time at this store (maybe this store is always like this?) and I suspected my future visits to other stores are going to be back to the off and on again consistency issues.
But tonight this store and these good folks earned a 10/5 stars... REALLY!
For something as room for improvement, maybe next time a spork and napkins thrown in the bag would be nice 👍.
