JJs Tacos is a gem of San Carlos. We come here every time we visit and they always remember us. Our boys love seeing JJ, and he asks about them if they’re not there. Byron is a great waiter very friendly. Make sure you visit! They have a great license plate collection and awesome funny T-shirt’s.

Stopped in to try some tacos based on reviews. My wife and I tried several tacos and a plate of Toritos, stuffed with cheese. The smoked fish taco was my favorite, the others were ok. The toritas were good, very good. Also had two mojitos. Overall the food wasn't bad, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to visit again. Between two of us, with drinks and tip, we spent around $25 USD, which I felt was a little pricey for the area. They also sell a limited selection of cigars, including some Cuban cigars, pipes, and have a tee shirt shop... Several desserts that looked good, but didn't try and a full bar.

The margaritas are great, tacos are scrumptious! You can't go wrong here plus it's really cheap. Our check is rarely over the equivalent of US $20.

Good service - fresh food - great when you don't feel like cooking! Friendly family-run local favorite. The trio of tacos was my favorite - chicken/fish/pork.

We love going to JJ's any time we come to San Carlos. JJ is such a great guy! His food is amazingly fresh and the salsa bar tops everything off perfectly! The prices are GREAT too! The shrimp is my favorite!

JJ himself tries to great every customer and will remember you if you visit often. Good food and a great Mexican atmosphere but a little on the high side but it is a tourist area.

You would most likely never stop here if you didn't know about it. We heard from several people that JJ's had the best tacos in town. We stopped in, and they did. We had four basic tacos - fish, shrimp, pork, and chicken. Way more food than I expected for the price. We didn't get a platter, just the tacos. Mojitos were ok, but cheap. Some great t-shirts on the walls, and JJ is a hoot to talk to. We'll stop here everytime when we come back to San Carlos.

We love the tacos and margaritas at JJ’s! This place is very friendly with JJ greeting you when you walk in the restaurant! The taco bar is really impressive, my favorites were the chicken and Chile rellano tacos! The margaritas are fantastic, the service is excellent and then . . . there’s the flan!!!! Homemade flan by JJ’s daughter is “the bomb!!!” creamy delicious flan, vanilla ice and Bailey’s Irish Cream! You’ll have dreams about it!
