Tai Kee has wonderful food. Most of their business is take out. I prefer to dine in and banter with the owner. She is a bit of a handful but okay. Half Chinese/half Vietnamese explore the menu but do so(Take Out).
If you've never had their Vietnamese style egg rolls, you are missing out. So crispy. So delicious. It is definitely not the fastest place in the biz, but the food is worth the wait, in my opinion.
I ordered my food to-go. The owner was very thorough in making sure my order was correctly taken and made to order. I'm a local Spring Branch girl, and hadn't been here since I was a young girl. It was just as good as I had remembered. Everything was served hot, and packaged nice and tight so it would not spill or topple over during the drive home.
