Good Chinese food made by Chinese and of good quality without the obscene prices of some national chains. Highly recommend if you want Chinese and not spend through the nose.

Restaurant was very quiet and relaxed, which is a huge plus. Ordered the crab puffs and Mongolian four delight which were both excellent. The fried rice, on the other hand, was fairly average.

Been coming here for years. Best Chinese food of the west side and the customer service is always great.

The soup, dumplings and egg rolls were very good. The entrées, not so much. We asked for 2 of them to be NOT spicy. When they were delivered to the table, both had LOTS of red pepper flakes. We tasted the sauce and it felt like holes were burning through our throats. There was no way the children with us could eat that. We sent them back. 10 minutes later, they arrived back at the table. Still, with the red pepper flakes. Still, with the place where we tasted the sauce. We ate what we could, left the rest, paid the bill and left. We won't return.There wasn't anything special about the other entrées. They weren't bad. They weren't that good, either. The service was very good. Still, after specifically ordering NOT spicy at ALL, receiving food covered in red pepper flakes, sending it back and receiving the EXACT same food again (except room temperature, then), there is no way, we will ever return. There might be a reason they weren't busy on a Saturday night. 2 stars for reasonable prices and good appetizers.

I became a regular at Tan Hunan with it being right by my internship site. I walked over everyday on my lunch break, I got along with the manager and my regular waiter fine, I did a regular tip of 5$ until one day I decided not to tip (food was cold) the next day, I noticed a 5$ charge to my card from the restaurant unauthorized by me. I arrived the next day, and decided not to continue with the tips because of the lack of integrity. I never brought up the unauthorized charge I decided to let it go. I remained returning to the restaurant and remained cordial with the waiter who stole from me. On 8/23/2021 as I was eating, the waiter approached me with my tab she watched me as I signed, when she noticed that I was not adding a tip she proceeds to tell me “don’t forget the tip”. Today 8/24/2021 the waiter brings over my bill, I politely explained to the waiter (appeared in the picture I have attached) that I was not ready to leave just yet, she explains that she has to go to the back and cut up meat so I must pay immediately, I agreed I reviewed my tab and noticed she added in her own tip of 2$ . I explained to her that this was illegal, her soft attitude that she developed over time after me not tipping because of her lack of integrity, became very noticeable. I call the manager over the manager defends her poor customer service, and tells me I must tip while we were discussing tips, I decided to go ahead and bring up the time she stole from me. The waiter lies about it, the manager then begins to tell me “she make little money it’s just 2$ we we wonder why you tip 5$ and then stop” I refused to pay the 2$ they tried to force me to tip. As they walked away they say “it’s just 2$” there attitudes were horrible, I have every right to not tip if you’re stealing tips, and bringing me cold food.

The food is delicious and the service is great. The restrooms are atrocious! They need to be cleaned thoroughly and updated. Enjoy the delicious food but don't use the restrooms.

the food taste okay, they gave me the wrong order , i ask for sweet sour shrimp. They gave me sweet sour chicken, the wonton soup taste like lemon juice not good.

I love this place! They are always on point with my order. Only place I can order sesame shrimp and it's perfect. And the staff are always a delight.

The food is good and the menu is mostly classics, but I like the seafood and chicken dishes best. Not many vegan options and theily only had one brand of beer available. You can also get red or white wine. Reasonable prices and nice portion sizes.

Such a cozy place to have flavorful fried rice and a glass of chilled plum wine while working on your laptop at the end of your day! Karen is the SWEETEST server by far! Very attentive and accommodating! Thank you KAREN for making my dine alone date so welcomed!

First time going to this restaurant. It was very good & the lady who got my order was very nice. Will be returning.
