But seriously if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, look no further than Taqueria El Novillo. Lupita and her crew are serving up dishes that would give abuelita a run for her tortillas! 🙃
Just a heads up this isn’t fast food. Don’t come expecting your meal in 5 minutes, especially during peak hours. But if you’ve got a little patience, it’s absolutely worth the wait!! And despite the wait the waitresses are very attentive and keep your coffee filled. ☕️
Do yourself a favor and order the chilaquiles de la casa! Straight 🔥 And btw the beans are magical. Like abuela herself blessed them before they hit your plate!

Went on a Wednesday around 10am - it was slow at first and started getting a little busy . We ordered 2 barbacoa tacos and the potosi enchiladas . Paid $35 total . The waitress was very sweet and the atmosphere was nice. The barbacoa was good not greasy at all. The enchiladas were good except i wasn’t a fan of the cabbage . But that’s just me personally . The salsas were all so good .

Waited for almost an hour. I finally decided to leave when I heard people sitting down saying that they've been waiting a long time for their food also. Maybe I came at the wrong time. Hopefully next time ill be able to try out the food and I can give a better rating.

Well , I have my own opinion. Food overall is good BUT.. SERVICE IS HORRIBLE .Arrived at location at 1215 and waited roughly 15 minutes for a table , which I expected. It literally took 15-20 minutes before our waiter came running and said she didn't realize we where there lol, I mean is not a big place how can you not notice ??😡 . Ordered food and waited for over an hour to get my food (ONE PLATE AT THE TIME) and only received my food when I decided to get up and tell one of the girls there to cancel my order . I can seriously say it's the worst service ive experience. First time customer and will never return. 😡

So it’s Friday during Lent we get there at 11:40am not that many people. The hostess tells us that wait to get food will be 40 minutes and then we order and they have no Lent food it’s finished! PLEASE DO BETTER. I will NOT recommend this place at all!
The SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!! I came and waited for 15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me !! While others came in a received IMMEDIATE attention! This is the second time this has happened so this is telling me that they must pick and choose who they serve ! I’m sorry I’m not a REGULAR but I do enjoy your food every now and then ! The regular management was not there but the old lady was and just sat with her friends at a table and ignored me as well ! To many restaurants in Houston for you guys to being treating people this way !

I came to eat lunch with my family The food is cold plus we found a hair in my Tacos. They didn’t do anything about it. Just said ok. The tostadas were cold and messy. Had no crunch to them. Really wet.

Had breakfast at the BEST spot for authentic Mexican food 🌮❤️ Their pozole is out of this world—so flavorful and comforting, with all the fresh toppings. They even brought out a variety of salsas with our chips, each one better than the last 🌶🙌. The kind of meal that feels like it was made with love. If you want to support a local small business and eat amazing food, this is the place!

We are here today with our family and while be it, it was an hour before closing time, they served some amazing food. I wish they served chips when you sit down but that’s ok. The food was amazing and the staff was super nice. Our sever was very nice and she did her best to help us have a good first time experience.
