I’m from San Antonio and have a hard time finding decent tacos in Houston (go figure). These are def home style if that’s what you’re looking for.

Greatest Taco Truck that I have ever been to. Fresh Ingredients. Clean. Great presentation. Moses is a great guy. Highly recommend.
One of the best things about living in a metropolitan area like Houston is the abundance of Mexican and Tex- Mex restaurants, and I do love Mexican food! Having so many options also means that you can be choosy and skip over those that don’t meet your standards. One chain restaurant that passes my requirements is Ruchi’s Taqueria Mexican Restaurant, located near the Houston 610 South Loop. Walking inside, it will be obvious that you’re in a Mexican restaurant, but it’s far more subtle than other Mexican restaurants, some of which take their desire to look festive to extreme levels. You don’t get that here. The decorations on the walls let you know you’re in a Mexican establishment but other than that, Ruchi’s Taqueria Mexican Restaurant keeps things simple. They don’t want to distract you with excessive attention to the décor. They want you to focus on the food and conversation. Sitting down at your booth or table, you will get served the customary chips and salsa as a warm-up. If you want something more, they have a short menu of appetizers with about ten options. I find that I usually munch down on enough chips that I don’t want an appetizer. I focus instead on the main course, and I have liked what I have tried here. I usually go for the tacos al carbon or enchiladas Vallarta, or sometimes even a cheese quesadilla if I’m not too hungry. I have found the food good in overall quality and certainly worth the price. Another positive at Ruchi’s Taqueria Mexican Restaurant is the service. The wait staff has always seemed very happy here. They seem to love what they do and are ready to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. So, all things considered, Ruchi’s Taqueria Mexican Restaurant is one that easily meets my standards, and I will continue to visit this and other locations when the need for Mexican food arises.
sevice ok price a little to much but ok. Wait staff a little slow Restaurant not that well cleaned after customers leave just clean table
(Translated by Google) The tacos are poor They need to make you want more ... do not buy tortillas from the mission look for some richer tortillas.(Original)Estan Pobres los tacos nesesitan echarle mas ganas... no compre tortillas de la mission busquen unas tortillas mas ricas.
Me and my bf have gone a few times. They have a decent live band on the weekends and the food is good and isn't overpriced.
me gusta mucho la carne al pastor riquísima
I didnt know salchicha was also hot dog wieners, pretty good though
Ruchi's provides excellent Mexican food at all hours of the night. The food is hot, delicious, and always reasonably priced. The ambiance is purely Latin, with either soccer matches or local shows broadcast in Spanish on either of the two large-screen televisions; it makes for a perfect little getaway. The hot, spicy flautas coupled with an ice cold Horchata make for a wonderful late night. No need to worry about the time; just enjoy the authentic Mexican food and atmosphere. Ole’
Our food was great! Good service. Their jalapeño sauce and salsa dips for the chips was wonderful- couldn’t get enough. Loved sitting outside and was lucky enough to enjoy live singing and salsa dancing! Will be visiting here again. We were at the one located on the corner of Westheimer and Winrock.
