So I went in late around 9pm and there was no one in here except 1 other person. I was skeptical because of the reviews and I’m guessing that’s why people weren’t in here. The food is very good, especially the beef broth. What's lacking is the friendliness of the people who take your order. Just because they see us as Chicano/a, they racially stereotype us, which is a representation of an ethnicity or race based on clichés and tropes. Stereotypes are harmful because they reduce the complexity of real people and erase individuality, autonomy, and power. Ultimately, they can permeate our shared culture and fuel unconscious biases.
Gave a very authentic Mexican vibe. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and hot when brought to the table and the salsa is amazing. My teenager practically chugged both green and red salsas. Love agua Fresca but I hate that so many places only serve it on weekends, this place has limonada during the week! Prices are super affordable.
