Ordered a cali burrito with no rice. The beef fajita tastes weird and the texture was rubbery, hard to chew. Fajita was very scarce. While about half the burrito was tortilla. And the other half was iceberg lettuce.First and last time going there.

Got my tacos to go soon as I got home and ate one taco never tasted a plain taco in my life. Then on top of that, they forgot my lime and gave me the wrong cheese for queso and chips. Very, very disappointed in the beans

They messed up my order. Left items off I paid extra for and when I got my food not only was it cold it wasn’t what I ordered. Even after calling and speaking to the manager. Ridiculous.

(S Gessner location) Food was subpar compared to other Aranda's visited in the Houston area. Waitress was impatient!Ordered the taco plate (comes with 4 small tacos, rice and beans), but got the Parradilla Plate ? Meat was tough and full of fat. Although it was free, the salsa was lacking flavor except garlic!! Atmosphere was drab, dark and unclean.

We walked in, and this place was DIM and DARK as heck. I had to use my cell phone flashlight just to see the menu. The food was good, and the portions were okay. But other locations are better. I doubt I'll be back.

Call in a to-go order for 6 chorizo and egg breakfast tacos. For 6 chorizo tacos with egg the order cost $18.00. A little more than normal, but if it's good food, I pay extra for good tasting food. When I opened my order, instead of chorizo and egg my order was egg and tortillas. I called the restaurant to report the situation, and they told me because of the inconvenience they could offer me 2 tacos with chorizo for the inconvenience. Excuse me, but if I pay $18.00 for 6 tacos with chorizo and eggs, I expect 6 tacos with chorizo and eggs, not tortillas with eggs. That's a scam! The fact that the supervisor said the only thing he could do is offer 2 tacos with chorizo I egg when I paid for 6 tacos with chorizo I egg is disappointing! Very bad service and bad ethics

When reviewing Taquerias Arandas, it's essential to understand that this restaurant chain primarily caters to the lower economic sector of the Hispanic community in Texas. It does not aim to attract a broader audience, nor does it aspire to offer fine dining. The Gessner Road location I visited is relatively small compared to other branches.
From a purely restaurant industry perspective, it’s evident that the Arandas organization has yet to recognize the importance of maintaining high cleanliness standards. Finding a clean table was a challenge, as every surface I touched was either sticky or hadn't been properly cleaned since the last customer.
The service was casual and cordial, but there were some puzzling inconsistencies. For instance, when I requested a small portion of Menudo, which is listed on the menu, I was informed that smaller portions are only available on weekends. This policy seems designed to push patrons into spending more, rather than offering them the flexibility they might prefer. Additionally, if you opt for corn tortillas made in-house, be prepared to pay an extra dollar per tortilla.
The food quality was passable, keeping in mind that this establishment does not aim to offer fine dining, which naturally affects the quality of ingredients used. If you’re seeking a fine Mexican dining experience, this is not the place for you.
Pricing at Arandas is steep considering the food quality, cleanliness, and level of service provided. The ambiance also leaves much to be desired. The music is played at a volume that drowns out normal conversation rather than enhancing the dining experience. Moreover, the presence of flies around the table is a significant nuisance, contributing to an overall unpleasant environment.
To reiterate, Arandas is not a fine dining establishment and should not be evaluated against the same standards as mainstream restaurants in Houston. This review is, therefore, an opinion based on the specific business model of the establishment.

The food was good, but I asked for food without Chile and it was too spicy for my taste.
Parking: There is plenty of space, the weekend is busy but there is space
