Although I understand the $50 deposit to secure the reservation, I thought that amount was excessive. That forced us to spend at least that amount or forfeit any amount left. I know that they can not control who walks by their establishment but it was sort of sad seeing so many homeless people walk by the windows. The waitress was great and had an up beat attitude. The food was good but average quality.

Fried lobster appetizer very disappointing especially at $32. Main courses were brought to table less than 5 minutes after the appetizer. Service lacking. Probably won't go back.

Had an amazing experience!! Stopped for a quick bite and the barista helped me customized my sandwich. I had no idea you could do that. She definitely went above and beyond. She was also extremely polite and professional. Coffee was great as usual. Will definitely be coming and trying out new things.

If ever in Houston area visiting or just a food lover definitely check Taste Bar out been in the H for five years now and have been a customer of Taste well over 50+ times not one complaint.

Thursday 1/29 was my first time dining at Taste. All of the staff members I engaged with were excellent. Our server was outstanding. I am so sorry I forgot his name. Slim brother, Afro,thick glasses. I was upstairs. The Catfish and fries I had were perfect. And mango lemonade set it off just right! I will be back!

It was not clear that the $100 deposit I placed to hold the reservation for 2 people had to be used completely. Our meal cost $60 total, they made me pay $4 in tax on a separate bill, and then insisted the rest of my deposit go on a gift card for another use! I will not make another reservation that requires a deposit! They already have too much of my money for a simple brunch for two! I had tried to call twice to modify/cancel my reservation and only got an AI assistant who asked me to call back later. On the positive side, our server and others were very nice and the food was good. The policies at this restaurant are not clearly spelled out and are ridiculous. I will not be back to use my gift card.

I was having troubles with what to pick through out the menu because it was my first time, I asked one of the baristas for help and they helped me pick out the best drink they have there, I love how the service there works in a team. I recommend coming here!

Needed a place to sit while the wife shopped- purchased a latte I didn’t want but discovered the payment didn’t allow for tip ( I had no cash) but Karen was so nice even though she’s working Christmas’s rush. BTW the latte was really good
