Stopped going here years ago. When you dine in, it seems like if you're not Vietnamese they don't seem to give a crap about refilling you drink. Getting their attention is near to impossible. Use to eat here all the time years ago when I lived on Bellaire Blvd. But I recommend going to the one on 59 and Beechnut. Staff if waaaaaay more courteous.

The owners and their daughter are super sweet people! Meatball and brisket pho is outstanding and I always get extra meatball on the side šŸ˜‹ I love the Vietnamese iced coffee is made to order not premade! Taste so much better and stronger!

Our problem wasn’t about the food exactly. The service was outrageous. The older gentleman took over waiting on our table and he would not leave us alone. He interrupted our meal multiple times to tell us how good the food is and made my family and I smell their fried rice. If your food is that good you wouldn’t need to bother us to tell us, let the food speak for itself. He hovered over us many times to make sure we ate the food and would ask us every time we took a bite. More of a nuisance than helpful. Most likely would not come back.

Horrible service, I’ve had several issues before on making an order over the phone and when arriving to get my order the guy told me he had given MY order to another customer because he came before me, and they thought I wouldn’t pick up my food to just wait on the next order, keep in mind I had to wait after I gave enough time for my order to be ready for that reason, so I wouldn’t have to wait, that’s not all. I don’t like basil leafs on my spring rolls and since they gave me the other customer order it had them in my rolls. Today I kept on calling to make a carry out order and they just kept on picking up and hanging the phone! A 0 star would be my rate honestly if possible …

This place has clearly seen better days. Reports of bugs are true, I too found some dead flies in bean sprouts and insects flying on tables when when i went there for dinner a few months ago. Food was edible at best.

Beware and check your bill if you decide to risk coming here. I don’t usually think it’s worth it to leave bad reviews, but this place was so dishonest, I’d like to warn someone else that might get taken advantage of.Went into the restaurant on Saturday around noon a couple weeks ago for lunch with my brother, my kids, and my niece. The place was empty and no one was even in the front of the restaurant, so it was confusing. We sat down and finally someone came to give us paper menus. The prices shown were for 10.75 for a bowl for pho and vermicelli, and 8.75 or something for 6 egg rolls. We ordered 2 bowls of pho, a vermicelli, and an order of egg rolls. The food was nothing special, but I did notice we were short an egg roll. I was just going to let it go.When I went to the counter to pay, the owner handed me a bill (not itemized) that said $57 even. He asked me how the meal was. I said it was good, but there was an egg roll missing. He said, ā€œOh ok I’ll just charge you $50 for the meal then.ā€ I already thought it was strange that the meal was $57 even, and he could tell I was confused by the bill. According to the menu prices, for our 4 items plus tax, the bill should have been $41 subtotal, about $44 something with tax. He gave me a bill originally that was $57. When he could see I was confused, he quickly said, ā€œOh we changed our menu prices 3 years ago; this is the old menu. The pho and vermicelli are 13.75 now and the egg rolls are 6.50.ā€I told him, ā€œOk but you should probably change your menu so your customers aren’t surprised by the difference in prices.ā€He began to argue very rudely with me about how he’s been in business for so long so they didn’t need to have actual menus with the prices on them, and then mockingly ask me, ā€œSo should I tell every customer that this menu is an old menu?ā€ I said yes, because that is the honest way to let your customers know what they are going to be paying for.And on top of all that, the new higher prices he told me would have only added up to $47, so he was completely just pulling a much higher number out of nowhere and hoping he didn’t get caught. It was completely dishonest and false advertising and likely illegal. First, he should be using an updated menu with actual up front pricing. It is not some Omakase menu where the Michelin chef just comes up with whatever price he decides on AFTER the meal has been consumed. We were given the bait and switch. Told it was one price, and after we went to pay the bill, a completely random and higher number was written on a piece of paper for me to pay. He himself said the menu is 3 years old, so they have had 3 years of using an old menu? More likely he knew he was caught and was coming up with some excuse. It was my niece’s birthday, and I didn’t want to make my kids scared by getting angry and escalating the situation, so I still paid the $50 and even left a tip out of habit. It wasn’t until I was on the car with my kids and shaking out of anger that I realized how much that man had taken advantage of us. He was pushy and took no accountability. We have been to the other location before, but never this one. I’m just mad that I let them get away with this dishonest encounter. He took advantage of me being a non Vietnamese speaking mom with kids (speaking Chinese and English) and I probably looked like some easy target. If you decide to go here, please check the prices at the end of your meal. They might not be the right prices.
