A very rare find: Great food, nice folks and most important, it is fairly quiet at lunch so you can actually have a conversation!

Based on the pictures and reviews of this place we were very excited to eat here. The aesthetic was charming and romantic. We did the 3-course dinner menu and drinks. Unfortunately, the drinks were horrible. Our waiter was kind enough to offer to make us different ones but we declined as we were completely turned off. We started off with the Tartar Di Manzo and the Avocado & Cucumber Salad. Due to a miscommunication they brought out a different version of the Tartar which wasn't very good. The Avocado & Cucumber salad was tasty. I would definitely add the crab. Next we ordered the Atlantic Salmon, I was on the fence on how I wanted my salmon cooked so I trusted the waiter and unfortunately that didn't turn out good. The salmon was much more undercooked than what I prefer. We also got the Gnocchi, it definitely lacked flavor. For dessert we had the Torta Setteveli which was dry and the Panna Cotta Mela & Kaffir Lime was just for show. The flavors clashed instead of being complimentary. The courtesy birthday dessert was a nice touch unfortunately, that dessert wasn't tasty. Overall, the food was a disappointment.

As an Italian born, this restaurant was disappointing, unfortunately. Service staff is unprofessional. Management is unprofessional and rude. Never coming back again, do not waste your time. Did I mention the manager flirted with me inappropriately? What a bizarre experience.

The Manager ‘Filippo’ was absolutely unprofessional and disorganized. He behaved as if he was on drugs or had a mental health situation. He needs an anger management course. The service was lackluster. The food was not cooked properly. Olive Garden would get 5 stars compared to this place. GET NEW MANAGEMENT.

My experience was not very pleseant, I made a reservatikn to celebrate my wife's birthday and valentines day, this place and the staff were very cold and the service was very slow. I don't recommend this place.

Tavola has a serene atmosphere with soft lighting, making it the perfect spot for a romantic date night. The art-like food presentation was surprisingly and uniquely delicious. Their innovative tiramisu is the best in town. We would definitely visit Tavola again.

One of the best Italian restaurant in town! Services is high level and food as well. As a born and raised Italian this is such a special gem that Houston needed! Special shoutout to Filippo, the manager!

Subpar experience for the price. It was a Saturday and the waitress seemed pretty new, not a big deal but it affected the service. Said they would pace out our meal so we were encouraged to put in our orders pretty quickly. Then our dinner came as we were still eating the appetizer. Whole meal was over before we finished our first drink. Food wasn't great. The risotto tasted like kraft Mac & cheese.

This was my second visit and while the food continues to be excellent, the overall experience was inconsistent enough that I likely would not return.
On my first visit, everything felt intentional. The bartender was upbeat, the waiter took time to explain the menu in a way that made the evening feel elevated and another team member was warm and attentive. I started with an avocado and cucumber salad that was fresh, bright, and memorable. The food across the board was beautifully prepared, and I enjoyed sampling several cocktails crafted by the bartender. It felt welcoming and thoughtfully paced.
On my second visit, I arrived just before 6 PM and once again was one of the first guests in the restaurant. It filled gradually, but it was never really busy. This time, our bartender was knowledgeable and helpful with cocktail suggestions. But, the waiter, he spoke so rapidly that I had to ask him to slow down just so I could understand him. There was no rush in the room, so the pacing felt unnecessary and a bit impersonal.
The food itself was still very good. We both ordered salmon and pasta. The pasta was fresh and perfectly al dente, and the sauce was bright and well made. The salmon and artichokes were also fresh and well prepared. A medium bodied red wine paired nicely with my dish. No complaints about the kitchen at all and both times, management stopped by our table, which I appreciated. That touch shows care.
Ultimately, though, the experience felt too uneven. Tavola has potential, but consistency in service is what turns a great meal into a place you return to. For me, the gap between the two visits was enough that I would choose another restaurant next time, especially at this price point.

I enjoyed the business lunch offerings with great portion size and price for $28 for three courses. I had the Caesar salad with chicken and the bistecca for $10 extra. So good! Service was great and the restaurant was slow for a 1pm lunch in a Thursday with a girlfriend. Parking was easy too, with free parking behind the building, but valet parking was only $5 at that time. I'd love to go back and enjoy more of the menu, especially for dinner.

We celebrated my parents 44th anniversary and the experience was outstanding. Having spent time in Italy it brought me back with the perfect hospitality and cuisine. The general manager Filipino took the time to chat with us and his team went above and beyond. His leadership and personality was simply perfect.
