There was a time Thai Lilly was a go to restaurant, that was 10-15 years ago. I gave it 2 stars cause I didn’t get sick but seriously it’s the worst Thai food in Houston. Place is cluttered and so is the food. Never again

I lived in Thailand for a few years and know authentic Thai food and this place nails it. Thais eat family style. If you get the seafood tom yum soup and som tum papaya salad with a few entrees and some sticky rice, then eat family style, share everything with everyone, and mix all the different items for flavor, you wont be disappointed and you will get a taste of the incredible dynamic and delicious flavor Thais eat. If you think Thai food is just curry, fried rice, and pad thai, you are selling yourself short. I highly recommend this place. Use my order suggestions, eat family style and enjoy.

Such a relaxing takeout experience. David was right there to greet me with a smile. His patience to offer suggestions while I decided on which dish to delight myself As I waited for my basil fried rice, i was invited to have a seat at one of their tables and I enjoyed a hot cup of oolong tea, also delicious.I used to regularly take myself out on dates before all this life happened lol...and this was definitely the best 10 minutes I've enjoyed with myself at a restaurant in a long time.Thank you, David!! For setting the lovely tone for my first Thai Lily Cafe experience.5/5

This place has the best Curry I have ever tried! My fave is the Masaman Curry. I travel for work and I have try curry in other states and nothing compares to this place! This is our fave spot to get curry, so if you are visiting Houston, don’t leave without trying this place and if you live here…. Just go!

So I had been here before.. a long time ago.. but seems like they have made some positive changes. Good was excellent. I was surprised to see hardly anyone for lunch. Will continue to try the other dishes but the Basil with Chicken was on fire(really tasty). Will definitely come back. Come try this place out if you want some delicious Thai food.

I ordered yellow curry chicken. Little black hair in rice, the potatoes are not cooked all the way, and the chicken taste old and dry.

Located on Dairy Ashford. If you check-in on Yelp then you can get a free drink of your choice, just no alcohol. The plaza is quite small but it wasn't crowded when I came on a Friday night. The inside had an elegant setting. Something I wasn't expecting. I thought it would be a more casual setting.Thai style chicken wings: About 5 pieces of wings and drumsticks. You can go with the regular or the explosive spicy. Also come with a sauce. To me, the chicken was bit salty but the taste will balance out if you dip it in the sauce.Thai papaya salad: Huge portion. You can choose the spicy level from 1-5. I asked for mild and the waiter said it was level 2. However, it was bit spicier than mild to me but no problem! It was still delicious. I'm a sucker for anything sour and spicy. Seriously though, we couldn't finish it.Thai iced tea: I honestly never ordered a thai tea at a Thai restaurant. I'm a fan of thai tea at boba places but there was just something special about this one. It didn't taste like one you would get at a boba place. It was so much better! We got it for free if you check in on Yelp. A-must!Curry: Not sure about the full name of this curry but you can select what kind of meat you want in it. We went with the pork. Once again, huge portion for two people. The potatoes were tender and just a good level of spice to the curry. It also come with a side of rice.Tom yum soup: You can go with a small or large. A small is big bigger than a rice bowl. From other picture, a large was quite big. Glad I didn't go with the large. We didn't eat too much of the soup due to the large portion of each dishes.

Quality has gone way down. The food was not as good as it used to be. They also used to give good sized portions as one would expect from a typical thai/Chinese/Asian restaurant. Pics attached of how none of the containers were fully filled…but smaller containers if you’re going to short your customers!!

I placed a order To-Go.Was quoted 15, minutes. I read online from another person to give an extra 5. I get there they have my order not even started two other people get their food before me, getting here after me. I tell them what my order is. They have me sit at a table. I'm literally watching people stand and talk and doing nothing. Every 10 minutes somebody comes up to say "Just a few more minutes."The curry is a bit better than Iyaras but the time alone killed it for us.Even if you think of ordering ahead like I did for pickup. It still took an hour in total to get it. That saved no time. Go to Iyara instead. We will next time.

Ordered pad see ew vegan but at 10pm so maybe this is the reason it wasn't good. I received the order and it was a small order but I am not from Houston so maybe it's possible that this is the size order. I am going with the assumption that since it was 10pm but the broccoli pieces were so small and few, the noodles were stuck together, the tofu was so very salty. This was not good at all. I forgot to take a photo and I normally do but since it was later at night I just threw it away. It wasn't good at all.
