Went here today for the first time. I can only comment on the fried alligator, since that’s what I ordered. It’s a definitely a cheaper frozen alligator. Not the meaty well seasoned stuff we get back home in Louisiana. As a native Acadian, it’s pretty bland and cheap tasting. The drinks are good. Not Lafayette good and definitely way more expensive but decent. Bartender was great. Very nice.

I visited this venue for the White Linen event, and unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with one of the security guards. He was extremely disrespectful and showed a complete lack of customer service. I was waiting for my friends to come inside, and since they had drinks, they were trying to finish them before entering. I was helping them with that when the security guard abruptly and rudely asked me to leave—despite the fact that I showed him our drinks were purchased from the bar. The situation could have been handled in a much more respectful and professional way. This behavior really put a damper on what was supposed to be a fun night.

Great place. The food was ok. The music was deafening. My apple watch kept going off from the loud environment. I will not plan to return due to the volume of the speakers. If you go here, bring earplugs.

Great crawfish for the price! Kid friendly and huge covered patio, perfect to gather with family and friends for some good Cajun food!

Crawfish was delicious. Got extra sauce and potatoes. Used a spoonful of the extra sauce in the crawfish etoufee to break up the creamy flavor and it was PERFECT. Loved the red beans and rice. Great smoky andouille. The gumbo fell short. Not a lot of flavor, mostly tasted like burned roux. Overall amazing food, from a person who lived in Cajun country for a few years.

Rule of thumb: if you can’t spread the crawfish across the table and eat it without a bowl, it ain’t a real crawfish boil.

Poor Customer Service…. Ordered the Smothered Catfish on Thursday 5/22/2025. The catfish was very mushy and tasted fishy. The rice dressing was mushy and had very little taste.
Asked to reorder something else and was told they do not give refunds or exchanges. So I guess I contributed $20.00 to The Boot.
I will not be returning and advise you to order something boiled.
I suggest a sign be posted NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES FOR POOR QUALITY FOOD!!!!
