Went here today for the first time. I can only comment on the fried alligator, since that’s what I ordered. It’s a definitely a cheaper frozen alligator. Not the meaty well seasoned stuff we get back home in Louisiana. As a native Acadian, it’s pretty bland and cheap tasting. The drinks are good. Not Lafayette good and definitely way more expensive but decent. Bartender was great. Very nice.
Great place. The food was ok. The music was deafening. My apple watch kept going off from the loud environment. I will not plan to return due to the volume of the speakers. If you go here, bring earplugs.
Crawfish was delicious. Got extra sauce and potatoes. Used a spoonful of the extra sauce in the crawfish etoufee to break up the creamy flavor and it was PERFECT. Loved the red beans and rice. Great smoky andouille. The gumbo fell short. Not a lot of flavor, mostly tasted like burned roux. Overall amazing food, from a person who lived in Cajun country for a few years.
