best burger in the h! parm fries are amazing
Really nice place, but a couple of things I experienced. Burger was extra well done when it was ordered Medium. I took it to go, so didnt noticed until i got home. Also a lady in the TOGO area was very rude. Needs customer service skills. The Guy in that same area was better and apologized for her.

The place is nice, clean, and has a good ambiance—great for having a beer. However, the food was disappointing for a premium burger spot. The burger meat was not very tasty and was quite hard, and the bread did not seem fresh. All of us had a hard time digesting the burgers afterward. The fries were also disappointing; they were not fresh and were either very hard or overly soft. Overall, the atmosphere is nice, but the food did not meet expectations.

If you’re a fan of the Montrose original, you can breathe a sigh of relief. The new Memorial City location captures that same magic without missing a beat.
The Highlights
The Classic Burger: We added bacon, and it was perfection—perfectly seared, juicy, and exactly the quality we’ve come to expect.
Onion Rings: These are a must-order. They’re crispy, structural, and paired with their chipotle mayo, they are easily the best side on the menu.
The Verdict
The vibe is a bit more polished than the Montrose patio, but the soul of the food is identical. It’s officially our new favorite neighborhood spot.

Overall had a great experience and friendly staff welcomed me and my dog out in the patio area. Parking can be tricky depending on the time, I assume once the taco stands opens it’s going to be extremely hard to park during peak hours. Food was very good, and the sweet potato fries were yummy! The portion of the fries could be split between 2-3 people.
It is on the louder side since it’s on a busy intersection and the music is loud indoors.

First time to try The Burger Joint, and it think the Gessner location opened not long ago. REALLY enjoyed the burger; tasty and good size. Two minor suggestions, non food related. First, it looks like your parking lot is a shared lot with the Taco Stand next door (I assume Taco Stand and Burger Joint are affiliated? Both names were on my drink cup). Well, i think it needs better signage as everyone was cramming into the parking spaces behind your side. Second, the music inside was so loud that we (and other customers) had trouble hearing what the staff members taking our order were saying. That's not good if you have a long waiting line. But, overall, a great place for a burger.

Shout out to the staff! Unfortunately, the owner/manager’s behavior toward them was disappointing. Yelling at employees in front of customers was unprofessional and really took away from the overall vibe. It felt like she forgot what it’s like to be a server or bartender

I rarely, if ever, leave reviews but I feel compelled to leave one now. I’ve been to the Heights and Montrose locations before and have been waiting for this location to open since the sign has been up since it is down the street from my house. I think most of the negative reviews are from people that either: have never worked in the service industry in their life, or have little to no patience and no understanding of what it takes to run and open a brand new business/location. There are going to be kinks that need smoothing over with a new business; with that being said, my experience was lovely and positive and I did not experience many issues listed in other reviews.
The layout of the location is really nice and I actually prefer it to the other locations I’ve been to. They have a nice entryway, menus accesible on both sides, bathrooms outside. They have more inside seating compared to the other locations I mentioned, which I like, while still having ample patio space with different kinds of seating.
The staff was kind in a way that felt authentic without being performative. There was one employee that went out of her way to make sure that I got my card that would get punched for every purchased after I didn’t receive it. The aforementioned employee, as well as one other, must have heard my mother and I conversing in Spanish because they also spoke to us in Spanish, which made me feel comfortable and at home. I wish I had caught their names!
The food, as I expected, was great, I ordered the Opa burger and it arrived hot and flavorful; I highly recommend getting it. I got sweet potato fries and they’re obviously high quality; you get a large amount and the sweet potato really shines through, along with a more savory taste. My only complaint about my entire experience is that my mother ordered her patty well done and it was quite pink in the middle. However, neither her nor I considered it a big deal and didn’t bring it up to staff and it is forgivable and something I am definitely willing to look past considering the recent opening. I ordered my patty medium and the one I got was pretty well cooked, so it’s possible the patties were switched by accident or some other mistake.
Overall, I really recommend coming here and really want to see this location grow and succeed as my family and I will be coming here monthly.

We ready for this. Needs to be better than Montrose & we'll be happy.
My husband and I tried The Burger Joint for the first time today and let me just say the food is absolutely incredible. The BOGO deals they have provide more than enough food. Will definitely be trying them again. Thank you.

We live in Montrose and our civic association held its monthly happy hour here with 15 people. Shawn, the manager and his team were friendly and helpful and got our orders out quickly and kept the table clean. Shawn even helped us with our raffle and presented a $25 gift card to the winner! Everyone used their Burger Joint loyalty cards. I tried the hard Vanilla Cream soda - 5 stars! Those burgers, fries and onion rings are always my favorites.
Very nice to go and have a good burger the fries are really good too
