I ordered gumbo and the catfish/jumbo shrimp combo with a side of red beans and rice. I had the fish blackened. The fish was good, as was the shrimp. The garlic bread was good, the red beans were excellent. The gumbo was ok, but I've had better. The place was just a bit pricy, $10 for a cup of gumbo.

We ordered the catch 22, the gator plate, red beans & rice and band bang shrimp. The shrimp had to be sent back it was literally burnt and so salty it was I eatable. Everything was so heavily salted. It was as if they were using salt as their primary seasoning. They delivered the orders all mixed up together and we had to have someone (who truly took his own sweet time) clean off a table for us to eat at. The whole meal cost $70 and it was nearly not fit to eat. It was not busy at all in the restaurant. The meal and whole experience could have been so much better if the team at each point would demonstrated a little more pride in what they were doing. Although this was just one visit, we got the impression this was standard operation. Overall, the saltiness, greasiness and over cooking of food, and a the same bitter aftertaste in everything that stood out more than anything else. The young lady taking the order was pleasant and accommodating. The date we visited was Saturday 12/27/25 around 4:00 pm.

We asked for the Captains Combo, which consisted of 2 fillets of catfish, 8 shrimps, 4 boudin balls, 3 hush puppies. The only good food was the catfish & shrimp everything else was nasty! The sausage was an extra and burnt, the red beans and rice were totally gross. WILL NEVER EVER RETURN!
