The customer service was the best. The gentleman with the loc hair was amazing. Answered all my questions and was awesome. I gave high stars for customer service. I was disappointed when I walked in. I miss the fun feeling I used to have when I walked in. Its upscale now and I get it, but doesn't feel like the "Chocolate Bar" I was a fan for years.. I did a purchase and sampled items to taste for my familiar taste etc. I unfortunately miss the original flavors. They changed the recipe for some the items and I definitely can taste the difference. I really didn't like the new recipes better than the old ones.. My favorite ice-cream is no longer my favorite any longer.. A few new ones were good, but its a different feeling walking in. Its no longer fun and kid friendly.. I get you changed the customer base, but I just miss the Willie Wonka feeling I got going there. Its now gone. Hope the new business model works out well, but I think I'm not visiting any longer. It was good times and good memories. ..Kid-friendliness: I miss that its no longer kid friendly. Its upscale and nice bur I miss the Willie Wonka Chocolate factory feeling. Its disappointing I won't be able to share the experiences I did with my children when they were young with my grandchildren.

I usually carry cash to.avoid the debit service card charges. when I tried to pay only had a 100 bill .young lady informed no.large bills were not accepted.not cool not everyone likes to pay with plastic...and after a day of spending money all I had left was the solid 100 noteParking: good luck if you can find a free parking

This place is a trip. The size of desserts is ridiculous. Talk about a glucose challenge covered in chocolate…yum! I tried the strawberry cake, because I love strawberries and cream cheese icing. It was really good with a hot cup of coffee. Of course, my teens ordered milkshakes, with one being blue!

C is for Cookie Ice Cream was delicious! I'm not a big ice cream person and intended to get something else but once I had a sample of this ice cream I was sold. All the rich (but not overly sweet or sugary) flavors made this probably the best ice cream flavor I've had in a long time. As soon as you walk in the service from the staff was warm and inviting. Overall highly recommend Winfield's.
I probably need to get better about remembering to take the picture before I start eating - but look at that slice! How could I resist?! I have a vague memory of coming to this place in Rice Village back when it was simply called "Chocolate Bar" but of course my memory may be failing me. The place has an elevated-Rice-Village feel, with tables spaced nicely, and with desserts galore. The Texas Sea Salt caramels look particularly interesting, but I couldn't allow myself two different desserts today. The cashier was incredibly friendly, and very attentive with each customer, despite how clearly busy the place was. The "frosting" (chocolate ganache, if I remember correctly) really elevates the cake, though I did wish the cake was slightly more dense, but oh man - quite tasty nonetheless. Will need to try the other chocolate cake slices soon and find a favorite.
