Idk about the review a week ago… that’s what I went based off of (plus the available google hours) and commoner is closed and has construction:( don’t go. I’m so sad. The one place on main street with great music and amazing vibes.
This place is always been bustling from me doing photography at the opening or the ribbon cutting from this particular place it is awesome please guys go and have a good time enjoy yourselves.
Your the man Carson! Keep up the good work my friend. ??????
Decent bar. The no sitting thing is a no for me though. Cant wear heels all night and cant sit down without paying. Atleast put some stools at the bar
The name “the commoner” makes sense for this place. Nothing really special about it. Pretty regular looking place. Completely overpriced with rude service. Ordered something and never got it so at least my money didn’t get wasted here. Bathrooms were horrible. Only plus side is that it was by other places that were actually worth the money. Will not recommend or attend ever again.
The manager kristina is absolutely unprofessional. She’s made threats to my family all cause someone talked to her boyfriend? Would never go to a place with someone so nasty running it.
great place, great atmosphere and the bartenders are rad
It was ok...needs better music
It's a good atmosphere for about 5 minutes. The drinks I got from the bar were trash, and not to mention if you leave any personal belongings there you will NEVER see them again because this establishment has no respect for people and their possessions. The manager, or whatever she claimed to be, accused me of being disorderly, supposedly has banned me, and was very rude over the phone all over my being upset (and rightfully so) because they have no respect for others. All I wanted was to get my glasses so I could get home safely, but to these buffoons human life is only good for 1 thing, and that's money. So in conclusion, screw this establishment and anyone that supports it.
I was here as a DD with friends. I asked for a coke: the bartender said it was $3. I stayed at the bar as I typed a review on yelp and she approached me and said.. “u leaving a yelp review.. I don’t care” I asked for her name and then security approached and said I had to leave. I said “are u upset bc I’m leaving a review” and he replied “u are not welcome here” ridiculous. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

A young broke crowd, don't go here unless you want to be smashed and burning hot all night. The music was good though.
Definitely not one of the best clubs in Houston! There are much better places with better drinks/bartenders/service/ music etc. It wouldn't even make sense to get bottle service here. $18 for 2 shots that hardly have alcohol in them is ridiculous. Atmosphere was ok. Creatively naming your drinks with a Houston theme was cool but not if the drink is mediocre.
This place is a bomb! Have an ecstatic mood upstairs & downstairs. They have cool choices of music to make the people up to move & dance your soul.
Always a good time. The Djs are great!!
Horrible service all of them, very unprofessional bartenders, long lines, ruined my night
