Food is really good, sushi was delicious, soup was perfect, nigiri like no other, but the service, slow, take a long time to take our order, looking for our waitress for like 10 minutes to ask for our ticket. Just not acceptable at the level they are trying to impose. Bytheway, tip is already included at 20% so it doesn't matter if you complain, you are charged already.

Wow, wow! I came here for Valentine’s Day and everything was absolutely remarkable. From the moment you walk into The Fish, the hospitality is warm, welcoming, and truly exceptional.
The food was outstanding — incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Every bite was a reminder of why this place comes so highly recommended.
A special thank you to our server, Jorge, who took amazing care of us. His level of commitment and attentiveness was beyond anything we’ve experienced before. Since it was our first time dining here, he patiently walked us through the menu, answered all our questions, and made thoughtful recommendations. He truly made our Valentine’s Day celebration feel special.
If you’re looking for phenomenal food, exceptional service, and an unforgettable dining experience, I highly recommend The Fish. We will definitely be coming back!

LAST TUESDAY WAS MY 1ST TIME VISITING THE FISH. I WENT FOR HAPPY HOUR THE TWO DOLLARS LEMON DROPS. THE HOSTESS WAS VERY POLITE AND SMILING. IT WAS MY SERVER WASN'T VERY FRIENDLY OR HELPFUL. I HAD TO SEND BACK MY FRIES WAS COLD. MY SERVER NEVER CAME BACK TO ASKED ANYTHING. THE HOSTESS WAS DOING ALL THE WORK
THE LEMON DROPS WAS ON POINT.

The Fish in Midtown Houston is next-level amazing. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is on point—great atmosphere, great energy, and even better food and drinks. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully done, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was the bar service. Shoutout to Alfredo, the absolute GOAT bartender 🙌🏽. He was friendly, attentive, and clearly knows his craft. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and it shows in every drink he makes. And let me tell you… the lemon drops were PHENOMENAL 🍋✨—perfectly balanced, smooth, and dangerously good. Easily some of the best lemon drops I’ve had in Houston.
If you’re looking for amazing drinks, top-tier service, and a place that delivers every time, The Fish is it. Alfredo alone is worth the visit, but combined with the food and atmosphere, this spot is a must. I’ll definitely be back—again and again. 👏🏽🍸

Wow!! I came here for a New Year’s eve dinner and had such high quality sushi for a lovely price. We had the lickety split and black widow & eel nigiri. Everything we had was amazing from the drink to the appetizers to the star of the show, the sushi! The fish was incredibly high quality and so tender and buttery like. I can’t believe I’ve never come here before. Very dreamy decor and such a great date night spot! The service was also really good and so attentive. Absolutely no misses last night, check out this spot for some high quality fish that won’t break the bank and will leave you satisfied. I’ll be back!

Apparently this place has been around for over 20 years and I somehow never noticed it. The food was fine—nothing amazing, but not bad either—and the drink selection was decent. The service was good, though, and the atmosphere at night is really nice. It’s a great spot to catch up with friends or have a relaxed, maybe even romantic, evening. I’d come back, but probably more for drinks and a few appetizers than a full meal.

The evening started off great—excellent food recommendations and a wonderful atmosphere. However, the experience took a turn when it came time to pay. A 20% automatic gratuity is added, and the staff did not have proper change. My server returned with less change than owed and did not mention the shortage. When I questioned it, I was simply told they “didn’t have any change,” which was both unprofessional and frustrating.

Had the server acknowledged the shortage upfront, it would not have been an issue. Instead, I had to identify the discrepancy myself. It’s unreasonable for a restaurant to be unprepared to provide correct change throughout the night, and it left an otherwise positive experience on a disappointing note.
