The evening started off great—excellent food recommendations and a wonderful atmosphere. However, the experience took a turn when it came time to pay. A 20% automatic gratuity is added, and the staff did not have proper change. My server returned with less change than owed and did not mention the shortage. When I questioned it, I was simply told they “didn’t have any change,” which was both unprofessional and frustrating.
Had the server acknowledged the shortage upfront, it would not have been an issue. Instead, I had to identify the discrepancy myself. It’s unreasonable for a restaurant to be unprepared to provide correct change throughout the night, and it left an otherwise positive experience on a disappointing note.

A really enjoyable atmosphere with consistently good food and drinks. It fits that perfect medium where you can get dressed up and fit in, but if you aren’t you won’t stick out. Plenty of options on the menu so you can try something new or get something basic.
Parking is the only catch…good luck.

Food was great, excellent service from Kirby! I had the Rocket Combo, shrimp was delicious. The ribs were just okay. I really enjoyed the bread pudding too.
Great atmosphere, good for date night and spotlessly clean. Creative rolls, fresh and great tasting. The lycheetini is delish. Awesome service. Will definitely be back.
My date and I were looking to explore either a seafood or sushi restaurant, and we killed two birds with one stone! Found the fish on the Open app and it was a good find. We were not on time for our reservation, but I was contacted and and was graciously moved back 15 minutes without interruption. It was not very busy...quiet and moderately lit. Victoria was our server and he was great with suggestions, presenting the options and making sure that our water glasses stayed topped off. The lobster egg rolls were the best items that I tried, and mad that did not get more, because they were excellent! My date had the lobster maki rolls and I had the salmon poke bowl. The rolls were fire (LITERALLY)...the came out flaming! My poke bowl was fresh and very tasty. I recommend this place as a low key first date spot with its ambiance.
Loved this place from the first time we came during happy hour. The menu can get bit pricey, but honeatly their food is too notch. We've bwen here around a dozen times and have only been disappointed once or twice which is a great ratio.
Their frozen ckcktails are great, their kobe beef burger is one of the best you'll ever have, and their high end rolls like the Black Widow are above reproach. Nice attentive staff, classy interior with a huge screen for sports, The Fish keeps us coming back.

Had an amazing dining experience at The Fish!
The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious, drinks were master crafted and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.
A special shout-out to Kirby, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything I needed and made the experience even more enjoyable.
Highly recommend this place!

I was here with my out of town guests and we both enjoyed the ambience. Aesthetically pleasing. I am having a hard time getting use to Houston's automatic tip culture of 18-20% that was the most displeasing part of my experience. Would I recommend this establishment to someone else, absolutely.
Food was delicious and our server Kirby went about and beyond. Thank you!
Went for a business lunch and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the sushi. The tuna was quite fresh and the afternoon vibe perfect. Drinks were also surprisingly well made.
