The service was extremely poor. We asked for waters as soon as we sat down but didn’t get any for 15 minutes. Our waitress only refilled the waters once, and when she did only refilled my water but not my boyfriend’s. The restaurant was nearly empty and yet we waited 15 minutes for the waitress to come over after we sat down.
The food was extremely bland and under-salted.
We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, steak sandwich, and fish and chips. None of them were good, especially at the price point.
The only good thing about the place were the drinks.
Would not recommend.

The blue Cheese and Steak salad was Excellent as well as the Customer service!
I really love this place the drinks are nice but a little disappointed they changed the happy hour again
Enjoyable outing at this restaurant with children. Tasty steak sandwich with fries. Children enjoyed chicken tenders. Friendly staff, good service. Pleasantly surprised with bonus item of moist chocolate chip cookies for children at checkout. Spacious, well-stocked bar. Clean, well-maintained bathrooms. Good choice for American cuisine or after-hours drinks. Grateful to The General Public!

Definitely avoid. Run the other way. Consider this a Public Service Announcement.
Visited for brunch. Very few people in there. Fish & Chips ($22) was shockingly bad. Both Fries and fish were soggy, dripping with oil. Lemon Ricotta pancakes ($17) had a weird aftertaste. The Veggie Omelet ($16) was bland and lacked flavor. The Chicken Caesar salad ($15) was almost as good as the one from Chick-Fil-A - this was their best dish. The $1 Mimosas were dreadful. But ok, did not expect anything at that price.
Usually I don't leave negative reviews for restaurants, but I will not understand how this one has any reviews above a 1 star - it might be something changed recently.
Houston deserves better than this and does have so many better options than this one.
The service was great.

The food was awful! The servíce was slow and there were literally 9 people in the restaurant. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich which was clearly overcooked and very salty! My family order the salmon salad. I honestly didn’t recognize the salmon. The birthday girl ordered bacon wrapped shrimp which the kitchen burned the first time. They made another one which was clearly undercooked. The manager was nice and comped most of the food but he should have comped it all! However, I do not recommend this place and will NEVER return.

We had lunch, here, for the first time. The food is great…the service is horrendous! No communication, very slow, and a lot of “I don’t know let me check.”…order a salad, asked for some bread sticks or bread and was told “we don’t do that”. I asked the kitchen who explained the same. I reply, “so there’s no bread you can provide for the salad?”…”oh we don’t do that. I had to coax them to provide me sliced sandwich bread. Again…service continued to suck! When we walked in no one even sat us or was present to greet us. Very I professional.

Stephen was great! Good food, I had the fresh fish sandwich and it was sooooo good. The hand cut fries were a nice touch too. We also had the spinach artichoke dip and it was lovely as well. Happy Hour 7 days a week, you cannot beat! We will be back

Since they updated their menu, the food options have become pretty limited. A good portion of the menu feels repetitive, with many of the house specialties overlapping with the $12 lunch specials. On a side note, the Wi-Fi was also quite slow, if that’s something you care about.
We ordered the fish and chips and the harvest bowl. The fries were seasoned but soggy, lacking any crispiness. The fish itself was rather bland, and the harvest bowl was on the dry side. Going to airfry the fish and chips at home.
Overall, not really my kind of place.

I had a disappointing experience at the restaurant. The food options were limited and quite basic, and I found it to be overpriced for the quality. For example, the fish and chips were soggy and bland, and even dipping them in tartar sauce couldn't salvage them.
The staff were okay overall, but the server we had, a lady with long curly brown hair, didn’t seem very fond of us. I mentioned my starter, but before I could order my entrée, she left to put in the first order and didn’t return. I had to call her back, and it felt like she was more attentive to another table nearby.
Overall, I wouldn’t come back here.
