Food wasn’t good for $40. I got the plate of oxtails, ran out of most of the sides by the time I came. Greens were super salty and I didn’t care of the mash potatoes or even the rice underneath the oxtails. $40? I should’ve went someplace else… won’t be returning

The experience that I just had was horrible, order fish behind a group of Males(that were my guess straight) that order fish also, their meals were out in under 15 mins, mine(SEAN a person that they presumed a member of the LGBT community) took almost 45 mins from the time stamp on my recipe to the time it currently is 2:48 it’s Sunday and not even that busy, it was almost empty, by the time I got my order, the other person with me food has gotten cold sitting there waiting for mine and there was no offer from the owner Max to remake his order so that it will be hot and enjoyable or even offer me a drink. The tale holds truth that business by my follow people don’t last because of service or greed/over price. But I have been paying $40 for his ox tails for a long time, and over $60 for oxtails meal and sides chitterlings with no problem because the service was good, but service has fallen by the waist side. Because tell me how does a group of presumed straight males get the same order in a fraction of the time I rcvd mine, and they only ordered in less than than 5 mins before me (presumed member of the LGBT community) without a care or offer to make it right.

smothered ox tails and cabbage = Amazing! Plus some gumbo. so good! Rich, deep flavor sticking to my soul! the cornbread was like dessert! One serving fed me and my girl, and had some leftover! and apparently, I need to come on Saturday of get those smoked ox tails!

This place never misses. Everything is good. My go to is the oxtails, Mac and cheese, and cabbage. I have also tried multiple other made to order and grab and go items. Everything is good. If I could afford to I would never cook at home bc this taste like really good home cooked meals.

Sigh ... I set a scheduled delivery in anticipation for this food today via Uber Eats. I have never been so disappointed. The greens are so salty to point, where they are not inedible! Oxtail CHEWY and not seasoned! I can't believe I ordered a $100 worth of food for my family and it's not even mediocre! Lord help, smh. Only thing manageable is the cornbread and Mac n cheese! !

I was excited to try this place. Everything was so good just super super salty. I didn’t finish my gumbo or greens because the salt just over powered it. My daughter didn’t like the Mac n cheese. We all tired it and it Kind of tasted like Socks. No homemade cheese detected. The service was nice and quick overall. I don’t think I’ll be a returning customer.
