This WAS NOT GREASY SPOON--- we went today and it's the same ole soul food restaurant it's always been for many years, the original This Is It--- not Greasy spoon please do not going thinking it's their ES location--its not and yes the food was still just as good and the staff was so gracious as when we frequently last visit about 3 years ago!We weren't disappointed at all and wanted to try a different soul food establishment, so no harm was done; perhaps next time for sure.However please keep in mind that no matter which Greasy Spoon location you visit, they never,never never I MEAN NEVER answer their phones or any responses on either social media sites to inquire of such matters like this...such as a wrong or incorrectaddress listing; boomer:(((

Its such a homey feel and a comfortable vibe. I've been here too many times and have never experienced an issue. The jerk lamb chops, macaroni and yams are a 10/10. They have the best greens and they are generous when it comes to the oxtail plates. When my friends come to town this is the first place they wanna go. Absolutely love this place!

This place is never open despite stating they are open online. I drive for uber eats and have tried countless times throughout all their "open" business hours to pick up orders for hungry customers and they never fail to disappoint. Don't waste your time trying to get food from this place, you will not get it. This POS deserves 0 stars.

It’s nasty ! This does not taste like the greasy spoon cooking I know ! The lamb looked boiled & they lamb plate is higher ‘ not even worth the extra cents !

I waited to write this review to see if the restaurant would remedy the situation but they did not. I placed an order January 1st for oxtails. Almost immediately after placing my order I received a call from an employee named Keisha called to advise they were out of oxtails and that I would be issued a refund. I called the following day since I never received or anything that a refund would be issued. No one ever returned my calls. I know it normally takes 7-10 business days however I have yet to receive a refund. $34.24 (including a tip) for a meal I never received....

Food is normally delicious, but meat was not fully cooked today. Still pink/raw on inside, nor did I get cornbread today. This is unacceptable especially when you pay hard earned money for it.
