The brunch was great, the pork flautas with egg on top was a game changer. Patio is a nice and chill spot to eat and have a few drinks. The surprise star of the brunch was the beermosa, a live oak hefe mixed Orange and mango juice was a nice break from the normal mimosa. Heavier body than a mimosa, but less bubbly which was pretty refreshing. This has been a staple for years and I would highly recommend anyone go and have their food and a few beers, it's definitely worth a stop
Will be sad to see it close. Fun place for Black Friday. They always had great beers on offer, rare beers. Glad to snag a couple from The Bruery.
Happy hour beer specials were a great value - nice way to try various beers on tap. The food was, in our view, less than satisfying. Options consisted of various combinations of fat and grease - no balance, no flavor, uninspired.
Hard to beat that burger and the $4 happy hour for beer is on point.
Listen. I love this place, ok? I just want to get that out of the way. But they took their delicious chicken wings off of the menu, and it began to sink in... This world that we live in? It's becoming a darker, scarier place. And to know that the chicken wings I have enjoyed numerous times over the past several years can just be taken away in the blink of an eye? I think it amplifies the uncertainty we all feel about the future. Thank you for your time, and God bless Texas. ?
It's had better days and it will be closing permanently because the owner of the holding company above it is moving a steakhouse in and apparently doesn't like beers.
First and maybe last time coming here, since they are looking to relocate ? they relocate end of the year#1 drink Eureka Heights Buckle Bunny it’s a fruit beer and it was ok. #2 Sierra Nevada Wild Little Thing sour was good had 2 of those. We also had 2 orders of the pig ears haha.Server was super friendly!
Great place for craft beers and great, unique pub-grub. I tried the pig ears, which were really good.
Delicious food! Unforgettable Heirloom Tomato Sandwich.
Been here many times, lunch, happy hour, dinner. Sat at the bar and out on the patio. Fun atmosphere. Amazing selection of beers on tap and great cocktails. Food is pretty good, a notch above standard bar food.

Awesome food and great service! I visited Hay Merchant for the first time and will be back. The Korean Braised Goat and Dumplings were unreal — I’d go back just for the these. The Cease and Desist burger was a classic American burger with double patties and thin slices of cheese — cooked just right and tasted great. Can’t wait to try other items on the menu.
Very good food. Good portions. Good service.
Solid happy hour. Excellent craft beer selection. Don’t be fooled by the size of the burger, packs a delicious punch.
Soft Shell Crab Po-Boy was not soft, it was very crunchy and under cooked. Overall the food was very not good, and the staff looked very unhappy. This place is a Bar that happens to serve food, definitely not a Restaurant.
Absolutely love this place. The food and beer never disappoint. You need to try the Spring Onion Chutney wings and the Pulled pork & hash brown flautas. You can top it off with the Semolina Peach dump cake (pictured).
