The brunch was great, the pork flautas with egg on top was a game changer. Patio is a nice and chill spot to eat and have a few drinks. The surprise star of the brunch was the beermosa, a live oak hefe mixed Orange and mango juice was a nice break from the normal mimosa. Heavier body than a mimosa, but less bubbly which was pretty refreshing. Happy hour beer specials were a great value - nice way to try various beers on tap. The food was, in our view, less than satisfying. Options consisted of various combinations of fat and grease - no balance, no flavor, uninspired.
Listen. I love this place, ok? I just want to get that out of the way. But they took their delicious chicken wings off of the menu, and it began to sink in... This world that we live in? It's becoming a darker, scarier place. And to know that the chicken wings I have enjoyed numerous times over the past several years can just be taken away in the blink of an eye? I think it amplifies the uncertainty we all feel about the future. Thank you for your time, and God bless Texas....
