Great time and experience at the Palm. The sea bass was amazing. The sides were huge and our waiter was great. Especially for his first day. I believe he said his name was Montay.

This location is amazing. The food and service are superb. An 8 oz fillet was $56.00 and a side of mushrooms was $16.00. The side was big enough for four to share!Try the crab cakes or shrimp cocktail as a starter and pick from dozens of main courses including some Italian staples.Go downtown and eat in style.

We had a business meeting in Houston and need to bring our boss for the dinner. We should had gone to proper place like Mad or toro toro, but silly us took him to this truly Houston experience….Can’t be worse choice … and moreover we can’t complain front of the boss, it is not business attitude.Firstly, I had to ask for everythingThey gave us only drinks menu…After request- food menuSharing starter was served with no bread, I asked for it.We clearly asked food without garlic, it was only garlic taste everywhere.I had a smell of garlic like i am preparing for the vampire attack…The steaks, I can’t even imagine that u can eat bed steak in Texas… yes, u can in palmWe order rare, and we have been waiting for 45 min, steaks arrived rare but fully cold… I think they were not even defrost proper. In order to do not look impolite we ate them.Side dishes were horrible (I asked to go for homeless people in order to do not waste food), hash brown is only fried potato, mushrooms defrost and full of water, French fries is not crispy. All food was cold, dry and taste of garlic. My tuna was eatable as I was really hungry, but I still did understand how chef can make food with 20 ingredients and 3 sauce and kill the taste of tuna? The prices are high, better to eat in nobu and truly enjoy. I am writing this and drinking my mint tea to kill the garlic smell. We thought we could wrong, but boss said can I choose restaurant next time?… shame…overpriced, horrible, restaurant of garlicPhoto attached is hash browns…..

This week we traveled for a convention in Downtown Houston and The Palm was super close to where we were staying so we went to the restaurant several times. The experience at The Palm was amazing, from the service and attentions. Thanks to Chef Roberto Garcia and his staff, the waiters Tony, Ramon and Mauricio for their attentions, they made us feel at home. We recommend you to try the fresh oysters with the special sauce made with Prosecco on another level.

Let me start by saying I was somewhat of a frequent diner at the old PALM on Westheimer. At least once a month sometimes more. This is my first time here at the downtown Palm only because the proximity isn’t as convenient.I so wanted this to be just like the old Palm restaurant, but unfortunately was disappointed. The old PALM was the total experience, which is what made it. The food was great. The service is great. The people from the bus boys to Management were great. Here, not that they were bad just was just like non-existent.So we were here Easter Sunday, and there were maximum only three tables occupied in the restaurant. So not very busy.Ordered appetizers, thick, bacon, shrimp Bruno, and lobster ravioliBacon was great, lobster ravioli my opinion was OK, but overpriced and the shrimp although good just not as good as I remember it. Not really much any sauce and just a bit bland.Asked for bread and was not brought out until appetizers were fully finished. Wonder if not asked if it would’ve been brought out at all.For the main dishes, we had a 3 pound lobster and chicken Parmesan. Both were good. Our waiter although nice was absent. He brought the appetizers then was not around until he brought the main course.. the main course was brought, and again he was nowhere to be found until dessert time. The old Palm, the waitstaff were always around always checking on us. If there was a crumb on the table they would remove it. The GM and manager would come around a few times to check on us.Here like I said the waiter was mostly absent and no sign of any manager or management to check on the few patrons in the restaurant. In fact there was no cleaning of the table except busboy removing dishes at the very end. . No waiter with the table scraper like the old palm. As the table cloth was soiled from our dinner we had to fold it over ourselves so we could have a clean area.Desert, I bragged to my wife how good their carrot cake was. Well it came out, a huge piece like the old Palm, but that was the only thing that was the same. This was the driest piece of carrot cake I’ve ever had. My local supermarket has better. I can’t say if it was old or that’s the way they’re doing it now. We left most of it on the table.Lastly I don’t. Understand why they ask if a special occasion on the reservation. And then again when we sat down. We told them each time it was my birthday but nothing. Not even a “happy birthday “ when we paid the bill and we’re leaving. Not what I would expect from this caliber of a restaurant where two people spend $300 + for 2 people.I so wanted to start frequenting the Palm again and wished I could have wrote a glowing review.

The food was all wonderful, the service was excellent. It was our 1st time here in Houston but we have eaten several times at the one in Nashville and it has always been good so we figured this one would be also. It did not disappoint!!!

We started with ceaser salad. Worst I have ever eaten. My wife had a wedge salad it was swimming in vinegar. She got sick was choking. Don't order the oversized bacon uneatable. My wife ordered a lobster tail & fillet steak combo. The steak was soaked in salt. I had a 3lb. Lobster. The waiter told me the Chef didn't like it so he gave me another one. I believe he was told about my complaints. He got even the lobster had 2 oz. Of meat. This is another Landry take over of a great Restaurant. Like all the other Landry take overs. Further proof how to ruin everything they touch. Don't go to this Restaurant. You will regret it!!!!

The restaurant had a very bizarre mix of characters dining. They also appeared understaffed .... Service not great. Food was “ok”. I like the Palm doubt I would do this location again

My husband and I enjoyed the Palm last night. The wait staff were very attentive. The food and cocktails were excellent! The bartender is amazing! The best cocktails we've had in Houston. We celebrated my husbands birthday. We plan to dine again soon. Thank you The Blissett's.

The Palm never disappoints. I have been to several throughout the US and this one did not disappoint. Service was exceptional. Food was top notch. Attention to detail for the whole dinning experience was perfect. From managers to table staff, everyone was extremely nice and welcoming.
