What a fun place to eat! The food was delicious. The service was outstanding and there was live music. Wonderful atmosphere. Definitely recommend the cactus fries and the peanut butter pie!

This was not our first visit here, but it was the first visit in which we were disappointed with the service. It was Friday after Thanksgiving and the restaurant was pretty empty. We waited a long time for service requests from our server and it was not really apparent why. We asked for more chips for our Duo Dip and the chips did not come until after our entrees came out. We asked for more corn tortillas for our family style tacos and ended up eating more meat with our forks (without our tortillas) because we were tired of waiting. No refills on water. It definitely was a different experience. Hoping not to have a repeat if we ever decide to come back again.

Jordan the server was fantastic. Laid back and easy going. Ambiance was comfortable and open. Food was great. We went there for the first time and it was my dad's 72nd birthday. We will be back.

I was visiting my friends from out of town and we had to pick a convenient place & Rustic came up. The reviews were so so but we got there and the food was an incredible value. The service could not have been nicer. I highly recommend this place unfortunately it will be torn down soon due to construction. I would definitely go to another Rustic restaurant

One of our orders was undercooked - and it took 15 minutes to get ketchup for one of our burgers. Our waiter never came back to check after our food was delivered - and it took a long time to get anyone to bring us our check and again to bring back our credit card. It's possible the pending closure may be having an impact on service quality. We'll likely wait until they open in a new location sometime next year before going back - and see if they do better next time.

Food and ambiance are great! We've never had an unpleasant dinning experience at The Rustic. Staff are responsive and food has consistently been delicious. Not to mention you're in for a treat should you choose to dine after 6p on a Friday (live music).

I got the salmon and jalapeño scoop bread, neither were good. Salmon was bland. Additionally soft drink orders did not come to the table fast. Construction made the restaurant difficult to access.

Food as always is excellent, although I do feel the quality might have dropped off with time. Regardless, it was still tasty and unique combination of flavors like the Texas old fashioned, the onion rings, or the familiar of the brisket burger are something I truly enjoy.

Went for my mom's birthday, and she wanted to watch the University of Houston Cougar football game. We were told we couldn't because there were ‘more important' games on. While I can understand prioritizing major matchups, I was disappointed—especially since about four TVs were playing the LSU game. You would think that in Houston, a Houston team would be prioritized on at least one screen. She was very upset and we had to watch the game on our phone.

I've been to The rustic before, and the vibe is always nice. We went to celebrate a birthday which I noted in my group reservation. The performer was scheduled to appear at 9:00 p.m. and my reservation was for eight. I was a little disappointed when we got there to find out that the entire stage area was reserved for a private party. The scheduled entertainment was not there so we were seated outside of that area. I don't know if having this information would have changed my reservation, but it would have been nice to know that there was a private party going on that night. The website did not indicate this. Staff was friendly but the service was a little slow. I'm sure this had to do with our table being larger than normal. I thought that they might bring a birthday dessert out, since I noted it in the reservation but that was not the case. Due to the slow service we did not bother to even ask for anything. I would go to this location again, but it would only be for the convenience factor if I'm watching an event in the area.

Seated at table, after 15 minutes we were moved as our server wasnt at work yet waited another 15 minutes when someone stopped and offered to bring water. Ordered an appetizer and drinks . There was hair in our food. Our server never came to take food order. Left having not eaten anything . Disappointed . Wont go back.
