This is my first time at Jenivi's and I am NOT impressed with the overall quality of their food. My boyfriend and I ordered the Fried Oyster PoBoy Sandwich and Crawfish Etouffee Pasta. Oyster Poboy Sandwich - The fried oysters in the sandwich were big and plump. The fries that came with the sandwich were mostly burnt! Crawfish Etouffee Pasta - The sauce was extremely bland, absolutely no flavor at all! My pasta was over cooked, the texture was all mushy! They did give a decent amount of crawfish meat though. It is also worth mentioning that the food took over 30 minutes to arrive. I know they have a sign saying "We are not a fast food restaurant so please be patient" but the food honestly took forever to come to our table. When the food finally did arrive the fries and my pasta were both over cooked. I don't think i'll be coming back to restaurant.

Very friendly people and great food but after my last visit I received an unsolicited chat response asking me to support some kind of clothing business that I guess they are trying to get started so they are reaching out to the customers to support their endeavor...... I came for the food not to support a side business...so evidently this is a front for some other side business... I have never been solicited to support someone's own personal agenda at any restaurant that I have ever been to... This is totally inappropriate... The owners live in Louisiana so I hope that they can see that their employees are using this business to contact their customers for their own personal gain.... I would fire my employees if they tried to solicit my customers for their own personal gain... I can't believe that any business owner would tolerate this behavior... there is probably some kind of law prohibiting using customers contact information to promote a personal agenda from an employee of the business

So I give them 2 stars totally based of customer service/ customer experience The food is good, takes kinda long but still Good atleast the boiled seafood is the regular food not so much and they're a bit pricey I tried the alligator wings the gumbo and the fried rice and 1's lol Not good at all literally nothing had flavor The seafood was on point BUT the owners are so weird The wife comments on everything your doing like my friend and I ordered a lot so we could try and this is the second time I'd been here The wife always comments y'all gonna eat all that y'all ordering more oh you're any extra seasoning it's too much sodium lol like girl..can I spend my money in peace Also they're just simply not nice people the whole vibe is condescending so unfortunately I won't be back Hopefully they work on their public relations and how they interact with guests But again Afro people just go to Viet Hoa and get your own seafood 3 blue crab here is $30, I literally just bought 11 crabs from the market for $32 so...just saying I'm done supporting businesses that don't care for my support

I would give a 5 star review but they were out of blue crabs. The thing I wanted the most. Other than that...they were delicious. Great portion size. The price was reasonable. You must try the spicy Cajun shrimp pasta. Best seller for a reason. The Cajun shrimp fried rice was also another amazing choice. The spice for everything is just right. Definitely coming back here on my next trip to Houston

As always this Cajun boy is happy as can be with the boiled crawfish here. I order the jumbo ( i'm spoiled like that) but the regular are really big too. Medium spicy. The staff are friendly and amazing. Jen is the best! This is the only place in Houston where I eat boiled crawfish.

Amazing service. Everyone is so friendly and laid back. Yes they're crawfish is in point I had the mild With the spicy sauce o. The side for dipping and it was perfect. We also had their shrimp as well with the had on and they were delicious, I will definitely come back to try their other dishes for sure.

This rating is for the crawfish alone. I honestly didn't even want to make this review because this place is so good and I would rather less people know about it so they don't sell out when I want it! I got spicy and it was soo good. The crawfish was great size even for this early in the season. It was so flavorful not just spicy and I loved how they served it with sauce on the side. $23 for 2 pounds of crawfish plus 2 potato and 1 corn. The table also got fried crawfish, fried soft shell crab and this came with fried corn. I didn't like any of them. Pretty tasteless. Fries are also really good! And next time I will try the wings as well.

Consistently good! I've been coming to The Seafood Shoppe for years and they have never let me down. The restaurant is clean, has a great ambiance, and food is always super fresh and hot. I ordered calamari, crawfish, and corn. When the food comes to the window, it arrives at your table within less than a minute. The staff is very very attentive to all needs, including condiments and refills on drinks. I am a firm believer in that you get what you pay for and that is certainly the case here. This was my first time back since before Covid and I'd been looking forward to dining in once again. Give this place a try because it has been one of my favorite for crawfish and all things seafood along the many places I've been to in Houston!

Best seafood you will ever. I had a platter with blue crabs, crawfish, shrimp with corn and potatoes accompanied wit their spicy sauce. Every seafood item was well seasoned and tasted as if they were freshly caught. That spicy sauce was everything especially when followed with that cold beer ?

Hands down best crawfish in Houston !! I have been here since I was 17. I'm 36! I've seen them have 3 different owners on this establishment since I've been coming here . Jenivi has held it down for about 11 years now if I counted correctly . She is the best owner. Her and her husband are the most sweetest and kind hearted people. I love to come support them when I get the chance!! Food is always consistent and most fresh crawfish I have had. They are clean and never muddy . I love everything here. All the dishes are amazing but my favorite will always be crawfish! Flavor is unbeatable!

This place was recommended to me by a friend and oh boy it did not disappoint! We got there right at opening, good thing too because it fills up quickly. The crawfish was amazing! I love the seasoning and the sauce they give you with it. Besides the food, the people are really nice and come by several times to make sure everything is okay. Ive been to Jenivis twice in the past two weeks. I think it's funny Krystal S. left a comment because My boyfriend and I were the other couple she mentioned. Don't know her at all btw; The first experience I liked the crawfish (the sauce is but the crawfish itself is bland). To be honest the customer service was bad as I watchwd them treating another black customers poorly, telling us it would be an hour wait while allowing an Asian family to skip the line despite telling me previously that day that they don't take reservations. I hoped it was a one off and decided to go back and unfortunately I realized this establishment RACIALLY DISCRIMATES against black and brown people. Unfortunately I Whitness this wait staff pick and choose who and how they treat people. It was very disappointing to watch them be polite to everyone else that wasn't black/brown. The waiter was rude, impatient, offered different deals to other customers, and straight up lied to her boss, who doubled down on her actions. We control where our money is spent and as black person personally, it won't be here.

Finally got our first crawfish of the year and I'm so glad it was here! We ordered the medium spice crawfish and it was amazing. When you order 5 lbs of crawfish you get 2 corn and 2 potatoes added. The dipping sauce they provide goes great with the hush puppies.
