The spinach & cheese tamales are delicious. The establishment was low on different flavors due to it being right after Christmas.

Excellent tamales! The bean tamale was my favorite. All the employees were friendly. This place is easily 5 stars.

My experiences at this restaurant have been consistently negative, On three separate occasions I found hair in my food, which caused me to stop visiting this location. Due to these repeated issues,

Just my opinion for the price of 19 dollars a dozen the tamales are pretty small and most places give you salsa with your order not here you have to pay for it. Tamales are about a 7.5.

Jorge provided outstanding customer service and was very patient as this was my first time trying out the tamale joint. Ordered tamales, chilaquiles, cheese enchilada, beef taco, and champurrado. (Even ordered tamales to go.)

Everything tasted delicious and will return soon. Thank you Jorge.

My wife and I were running an errand with our toddler. We came in on a whim based on the reviews. The tamales were great, the restaurant was very clean, and I loved my Horchata.

I plan to come back and try more of the menu. If you're into good tamales, you should check this place out too.

My husband and I drove from Montgomery, Tx just to try their tamales. As soon as we walked in the young lady and young man at the counter greeted us warmly with a smile. They helped us choose from the menu. The tamales were delicious and the place was impeccably clean. We will definitely be coming back to try more items on their menu. I recommend this place 100%.

The tamales have great flavor in the corn meal but when you bite in that is all you taste. The tamales have little to no meat.

I will try them once more in the future hopefully they are made better on my next visit.

I arrived on Christmas Eve to get about 6 dozen tamales. This was my first time visiting this business after having frequented another tamale store for years prior. To my delight, the staff was very professional, the manager was friendly and best of all, the tamales were great! My whole family loved them and I will definitely be back for more! This is my new go to tamale joint!

The Thumbs Critic

👍 This place is conveniently located near the TC Jester hike & bike trails.
🤜 The tamales are overpriced for their low quality, even when ordered by the half-dozen. That said, I understand the business likely has higher rent costs in this part of Houston.
👎 We ordered a half-dozen pork and beef tamales, but only pork tamales were brought to our table. After waiting quite a while for the beef tamales to appear, we had to ask about them, along with the salsa that should have come with the meal (more on that below).
👎 The beef tamales weren’t included because our order was taken incorrectly, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy, we spoke clearly, and nothing was lost in translation.
👎 The tamales we did receive were not great. They also fell apart easily when using a fork.
👎 The tamales did not come with salsa. Salsa is a basic expectation with Tex-Mex/Latin food, yet none was provided. I searched the restaurant assuming there was a self-serve station, but there wasn’t. When I asked, I was told they charge extra for salsa. Charging for salsa, which should have came with the food, is inexcusable.
👍 The queso portion was generous.
👎 However, the queso was extremely runny.
👎 There were not enough chips to go with the queso, and given that basic items cost extra here, we were hesitant to ask for more.
👎 Customer service was poor. The restaurant was not busy, yet our order was taken incorrectly. At the very least, customers should be warned upfront about how unusual this place is regarding what does and does not come with the food.
🤜 Overall, you couldn’t pay me to come back to this restaurant.

I loved the chicken tamales and bought 6 dozens of them, but now the masa was changed. The masa has small pieces of particles in it, no flavor I was so disappointed for Christmas that 3 dozens were not eaten because of bad taste. I hate to say it but I'm not going to go back again. What you guys changed to save money cost you more in the long run.
