Everything was so delicious! Food came quickly and the staff was super friendly. The lamb flatbread and chili oil fries were my favorite. The uni pasta was also delightful. Love the fusion of flavors and the use of Sichuan spice!

Pancakes for dinner !! Very chill restaurant. Loved their vibe and all the staff were friendly. Food was out at a reasonable time and it yummy.
Parking: They have additional parking across the street/ diagonal at the light. It was somewhat hard to find in the nighttime. The parking immediately outside the restaurant fills up fast.

We saw the show with Guy Fiery on Dinners, drive in and Dives. We had a trip planned for Houston, so we decided to try it. We loved it. Our server was Victoria, she was really nice and we asked her for recommendations, she was spot on. Wish we had a place like this in Florida where we live.

Such a cool place! Everything I’ve had is amazing and tasty! The drinks are really good as well! For a unique experience sit in the lounge area in the back, though it’s better for drinks.

Steve, our waiter, was absolutely the best! His energy, humor, and attentiveness were top notch! Make sure to ask for him and bring cash for a tip for an extra show.

Had an amazing experience at The Toasted Coconut! The atmosphere is vibrant and relaxing with a unique tropical decor that really sets the mood for a great meal. The food was delicious, and the drinks were crafted beautifully—perfect for a little island getaway vibe in the city!
Our waitress, Monse, was absolutely fantastic! She was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Her service truly elevated our dining experience, making it memorable and enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place with great food, a fun environment, and top-notch customer service, The Toasted Coconut is the spot to be!
Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

The MOST fun restaurant in Houston. They have a laid back tiki atmosphere and are always playing great music that takes you back. Their staff is super attentive and friendly. Both the food and drinks are incredible. Their smash burger is in my opinion the best burger in town. The tiki drinks are delicious and perfectly balanced. It’s always a great time and meal at the toasted coconut!

Oh my word! Delicious and charming. Love the mix of flavors and in particular the spinach dip was a hit at the table. One of my girlfriends was raving about it so much so attempted to recreate the dish for a poker night. It was not as success as what we had at the Toasted Coconut, so of course we'll be going back!
Thank you to Victoria for her hospitality and fine service.

Went there for a friend's birthday get-together. The server with the pony tail wasn't the friendliest and almost invisible for the large group. Initially when I checked with one of the nicer servers, he said that they can take different amounts on the bill for split payment. The main server assigned to us (with the ponytail) refused at 1st when we were ready to close out, although he did it for one of the guests at our table who left earlier than the rest of us. Upon pushing back, he did agree. I don't understand what's so difficult to split since we had drinks and appetizers and this place isn't located in river oaks! I guess they don't care since they add the gratuity to the tab regardless of the bad service!
Disappointing Service and Unwelcoming Atmosphere
I had high hopes for The Toasted Coconut, but sadly, my experience was far from enjoyable. From the moment we sat down, the service was disappointing. Our waiter barely checked on us, and we had to constantly flag him down just to get the basics—whether it was refills or just his attention. It felt like we were more of a burden than valued guests.
To make matters worse, as we were leaving, we wanted to take a quick peek at their speakeasy bar, Quiote, just out of curiosity. We were flatly told that we weren’t allowed to see it because we weren’t dining there. It was an off-putting end to an already frustrating experience.
With so many great spots in the area, I’d recommend trying somewhere else where the service actually matches the hype.
